i'm in a situation where my parens do trust me and feep a watchful eye on what i do and where i go, but honestly, i could get away with anything. my boyfriend drives, so we go places. and his parents work all the time, so at his house we really have any given opportunity to have sex when we're together, even though both of our parents are practicing their parental techniques to their fullest extent. drug stores sell condoms to anyone, and as long as the couple is careful about who they tell and such, they're good to go, i guess.

Is there a site where I can find the meaning of certain movies? Not peoples opinions but the producers point of view.
Such as Pans Lavyrinth for instance. I dont wanna see what people believed when they saw the movie, I wanna see what the director of the film ment.

i think usually the directors and produces want to leave it up to the audience to interpret the movie for themselves. the only think i can think of would be the special features on a dvd with commentary. otherwise, i'm pretty sure you're going to have to rely on other people's opinions on what it's about...

I think they should have waited at least until the day after thanksgiving to advertise for 'holiday shopping.' Really...has anyone else noticed that these past couple of years they keep rushing this whole shopping and buying thing earlier and earlier? Especially with chirstmas, and don't take it the wrong way, I love chirstmas and everything, but its not so fun hearing carols on the radio 2 weeks before thanksgiving. So my question is...will this continue the way it has been, or will it soon enough return to normal. My goodness, I certainly hope it stops! In this high paced world everything *needs* to go faster; In my beleif, It is the marketers that have made Christmas time seem less special. When we have carols on the raidio and giand stockings at the registers in grocery stores 9 weeks before Christmas, do YOU get the feeling as it's not such a big deal anymore? I used to love the warm feeling I'd get around Christmas, but about 3 years ago it has seemed less and less appealing. I swear it's the marketing business!

As for the Raidio, call in, have your friends call in, I'm SURE you're not the only ones who think it's absurd. A radio station around where I live started playng Christmas tunes on HALOWEEN this year. Needless to say, we were appaled.

And to answer your second question, I'm sad to say that things will probabally go for the worse until there is nothing left but to get better again.

some of my older brothers friends that are at my school are like super made at me because i broke up with one of them and they are telling my brother that i have sex with alot of guys and i have comdoms in my bakpak ...and i do. and my parents found notes that were hella bad and now they are pist at me what should i do.....please help i will rate high

Gosh, times like these just make me want to quit life...

You need to be on your best behavior, there is no other way to earn you're parents trust back. You need to get rid of the condoms, and make sure the notes don't go home with you. Do things around the house without being asked and don't ask you're parents what you can do to earn their trust back because that usually doesn't work and they interpret it as "What's a quick fix to make it better?"

Was there a reason you had condoms in your backpack? You know, people will talk, you might want to be more careful.

Trust and Pleasntries are hard to regain, I know from experiance, but wait a while and it'll pass - eventually.

I'm 15 (almost 16) and female.

A certain *someone* constantly complains about my naps. I take naps because I get tired.

In the past I used to sleep extremely late (we're talking about from 2-4 AM or later) during school nights. However, I would also get half of my other sleep during the day when I got home from school, since at night I was busy with homework. I couldn't resist taking a nap once I got home from school because I'd be way too tired to concentrate on homework anyway if I didn't nap.

This is probably a question for high schoolers and up, because those with a large homework load will understand why my sleeping schedule is this way.

Now back to what I first said. According to that *someone* naps are horrible and it's totally killing my health. Okay, I understand if I don't get enough sleep it is really bad for me. But I do get enough sleep. Not to mention I don't sleep that late anymore, I try to sleep as early as I can (latest is 1 AM so far because of homework).

What I want to know is, are naps really that horrible? If you don't get enough sleep will your health be really bad? If you sleep enough, but part of your sleep is at night and part of it is in the afternoon is that bad in anyway? What advice would you give me in order to help me sleep earlier? I understand that *someone* cares about me a LOT, but it gets really annoying to always be nagged about when honestly I already am trying my best to get a normal sleeping schedule and it is really hard to NOT take naps.

Um, i wou;dn't say thy're harmful, but you could cause bad sleeping habits for when you're an adult...But I crash on the couch for an hour when I get home from school then I'm good for the rest of the night and go to bed around 11-11:30. So I geuss it all depends on what kind of energy you have. (I'd sleep for 21 hours a day if they'd let me! j/k) But no, go ahead and sleep if you want!

You could try going to bed at maybe 11 and then you wouldn't be so tired when you got home. Just try it, because you never know!

ok so basically i had a schedule i was very happy with...
1st period study hall...i liked it because if i had a long night i could save homework for the morning..then i had a really cool fun ss class with my friends AND a cool teacher..

what happened was my schedule had to get changed because of health accademy..and now my ss class is changed..and the teacher! im not happy..and my 1st period study hall is gone..if i want to keep my 1st period study hall and ss class..i would have to give up lunch..what should i do?
i reeeally liked my study hall and ss class..but then again i dont want to give up lunch..what would you do?

Well, do you think you could make it throught the day without lunch? I know I could, but it's nice to talk to your friends at lunch too. I have Study 2nd period and it's the best thing that ever happened to me cuz I forget so much of my homework at school that I'd be totally screwed if I didn't have SH.

Also, a good teacher makes a good student so if you don't like your current teacher then mostlikely you're gonna do slightly worse that a class with someone you liked.

I say skip luch and just drink a big bottle of water during the middle of the day to fill you up. Or wat a large Breakfast...that's what I'd do anyway.

my school came up with a new dress code and it completely sucks. parents and students were kicked out of open house and kids were suspended on the first day of school!!! for example our neckline son our shirts have to make a srait line above our armpits which is REALLY high and our shirts have to come down past our belts and our pants can't touch the floor. what are some good things i can say to the administration to get them to change these outrageous rules? (*we don't have uniforms)

I think that if you're really unhappy, have all the sudents sign a petition and present it to the principle or disiplinarian.

Honestly don't think that it's that outrageous...shirts that cover your stomach and don't show too much isn't a bad thing. You're there to learn, not put on a fashion show. All your friends will be following these guidelines too and in the winter you can wear sweaters! As for the jeans, that sucks. I'm short and in order to have them at my shoes, my mom would have to hem them and that takes the flare away.

You could try cuffing them which, in my opion, is really cute!

I would define a pure soul as someone who hasn't yet lost thir innocence to this world, and who tries to do what's right. Mostly what our cultre defines as prude...

Hi, me again! I was in no way encouraging the person who asked the question to buy their dumb book or go to Washington. LOL...

She asked for a place where she could share her poems, and by posting them on the website, other people will read them. There's nothing wrong with that!

I got a letter in the mail too, but just tossed it in the trash, would I actually think that they'd accept MY poem out of thousands?? Duh! Who cares about hte dumb contest, I love poetry!

Though they do make it look exceptionaly convincing, with ads in local newspapers and on sites, I agree with you that they are frauds and shouldn't be given any money. But I think that posting poems on the website is harmless and fine.

They DO share your poems in a book they publish, while you get none of the money, your name is included in the book and you get a spot on the website to publish as many poems as you want! If all your interested in is sharing your poems than I'd definately reccommend it.

I have a friend who is over weight and is always saying Im so fat!! What I have observed over the past few years is that when someone says they're ugly or fat(even if they're not), they want other people to tell them that they're beautiful. Most of the time they are insecure about their appearance and need reassuring. STOP ressuring her and offer her alternatives

Well, for your hair, definately wear it up, maybe in a sloppy bun or just a ponytail because it's gonna get hot and sweaty in there! Wear somthing comfortable, not too low cut, maybe a pair of jeans and a off shouldr shirt, probabally not a tee shirt cause that's a little too casual. If you want to wear a tee pair it with a flirty skirt. Keep your makeup lighter than normal. I would skip the eyeliner for tonight for fear of smudges...but black mascara and maybe some light brown eyeshadow and LIGHT lipstick, or just gloss.

Also some hoop earrings and a couple bangle bracelets to top it off.

Oh, and sneakers or flip flops cuz heels kill! lol

What causes yeast infections you ask? Here's what my trusty Aunt/Doc told me...

*Pregnancy and other causes of hormone changes.
*Use of oral contraceptives (birth control pills).
*Diabetes that isn't well controlled. High blood sugar can help yeast to multiply.
*A weakened immune system.
*Use of steroid drugs.

Use of antibiotics. Antibiotic drugs kill bacteria in the body including the vagina, allowing yeast to multiply and cause an infection.
Yeast infections seem to be only rarely passed from one person to another through sexual contact. A male partner of a girl with a yeast infection usually will have no symptoms.

ok i was hanging out with my friends when i felt something weird on the inner part of my lip. like a pimplish kind of thing? my one friend insisted it was herpes and said at one point everyone gets herpes. im like what? is this true? i thought herpes was like a perminant thing.

It could be a cold sore, or maybe it was just a pimple...It's true that it's veeeery common to get some kind of the herpes virus, just by sharing lip gloss or a drink. Once you get it, it's for life. There's no cure, but here are creams and meds to supress the cold blisters.

When I was in 2nd grade, I got the virus so badly that I was stuck in bed for 2 weeks drinking nothing but energy drink and yogurt. But that was an extreme case, most people just have breakouts every once in a while. Usually I get mine before my period or when I have a cold, though I've been breakout free for like 3 months I think, so I wouldn't worry about it if you do have it. Just try not to let you immune sytem weaken!

I want to wait until I am married to have sex. My friend and I were talking and this is what she said to me, "My mom told me she didn't want me to wait until marriage to have sex, because she wanted me to know what to do." I was thinking about it and I don't know anymore. I mean I don't want to go and read things on what to do/watch porn and stuff. I am not that kind of girl. Plus, all my friends say they just want to wait until after they turn 16. I mean its not part of my religion. Its part of what I think is right. Really, what happened before they didn't have the internet? What do you think couples did then? They experimented and came up with it themselves. There's no right way. If you love eachother enough to get married do you think he's going to love you less if you're not the best at it? And especially if you don't feel comfortable reading about it on the internet now, maybe when you're engaged or even after marrige you can to learn some new stuff.

Whatever you do, Wait for your husband! Think of what it will mean to him if you tell him that you were saving yourself for all those years just for him!
