Taking advantage Hey, I posted about poetry.com a few days ago, and you seemed to think I was wrong about it. I'm not asking you to believe what I said, but if you don't trust me, then please, don't trust poetry.com, read about them for yourself:

That's a good one... lots of people there.

Noble House is another name they use.
Type "poetry" and "scam" in to a good search engine, and find them for yourself.
My question; Do you still believe that poetry.com is cool?
Perhaps you might edit your answer on the subject accordingly...
Just didn't want to see it happening to yet another poet

Hi, me again! I was in no way encouraging the person who asked the question to buy their dumb book or go to Washington. LOL...
She asked for a place where she could share her poems, and by posting them on the website, other people will read them. There's nothing wrong with that!
I got a letter in the mail too, but just tossed it in the trash, would I actually think that they'd accept MY poem out of thousands?? Duh! Who cares about hte dumb contest, I love poetry!
Though they do make it look exceptionaly convincing, with ads in local newspapers and on sites, I agree with you that they are frauds and shouldn't be given any money. But I think that posting poems on the website is harmless and fine.
Thanx for your input anyway!
