Q: I have a BARELY three year old lactating mare. She just turned three two months ago. She was accidentally pasture bred when I bought her, and at the time, she didn't look pregnant. When she was pregnant with the foal, she looked healthy - but not pregnant. She had the filly right after her third birthday. The filly is healthy enough, but her dam isn't. My mare is constantly sweaty. She could be expected to look sweaty because it's summer, but this is unhealthy! She's sorrel, but during most daytime hours, she looks bay because she's so sweaty! She looks very sickly; she doesn't weigh enough, and has rain rot very bad. I'm treating the rain rot, so that's not a big problem, but I feed her 4 pounds of oats and sweet feed in the morning, 2 pounds at noon, and 4 pounds at night. She is not gaining any weight. I've been feeding her this much for over a month and a half and still nothing. She should look at least a little better by now. The filly looks very healthy, though she's very sweaty too. I think the filly's sweatiness can be attributed to all of her baby fur which is very thick and her being very dark colored. (She's going to be black when she sheds out; right now she's a dark dun color) My other mares and my colt are not nearly as sweaty. My bay mare is sweaty around her flank, my chestnut mare is sweaty around her throatlatch, and my chestnut colt is sweaty around his flank - but my lactating sorrel mare is sweaty all over her whole body. This mare is on a regular de-worming routine, she gets lots of clean water (I change the water daily), eats plenty, so I don't understand why she's so unhealthy looking and sweaty. Do you have any ideas or cures? Should I call the vet immediately? Thanks!

You need to bring the vet out to check her, it almost sounds like Strangles to me. But since you said it was right after she had the baby, it just may be her bodies way of dealing with post-labor. Obviously we aren't vets though and she needs to be checked out, I hope she's okay. Btw, isn't 4 lbs. of oats too much in a day?

Q: Ok i just had sex a few days ago for the first time. We used a condom i made sure of it!! Ever sence like the next day ive been liking having clear stuff come out of me. Its kinda like the stuff sometimes you get before or after your peroid but its not after my peroid or before. Since it is clear, I really wouldn't be worried. If you start noticing any sort of abnormal smell or the discharge turns yellow or greenish, then you are going to need to head to the doctor. It is probably just your bodies way of adjusting and every body is different so don't rely on your friends to go through the same experience.

Q: What if I wanna have sex but I have tan lines from my tan how do I get rid of it without going to a tanning salon or tanning naked?

So basically you want to get rid of tan lines without doing anything? That isn't going to happen, not to mention, the world will freeze over while you are waiting for them to fade.

Q: i havnt started my period yet and i'm a very short 13 year old so how do i know that i didnt stop growing?

You can get your period ANYTIME, so do not get stressed about that. And don't worry, once you have it, you won't want it. As far as if you have stopped growing, you're 13, many teens do not grow further until they are near 15. Just be happy you haven't had the "pleasure" of going through changes yet and enjoy being free of all the stress.

Q: My daughter is 4 years old. Now she is in K1. For the past three years she was in a day care centre. Its been two semester now in the new scool and my daughter is still crying. In fact at first it was only in the mornings but lately the teacher has informed me that she cires for the whole day. I don't undertand . After all she was ok in the day care. I doubt if she is still adapting to her environment for it's been 2 semester now. She is very bright and when i ask her whats wrong or if she doesnt like the school or the teacher she tends to disregard the questions and leave my questions unanswered. The teacher thinks perhaps something at home is causing her to feel this way but she gets everything she wants yet remain unspoiled. She has a very loving family with no conflicts. Well, the problem could be that she is not emotionally mature enough to be attending K1. I'm not in anyway insinuating that she is less intelligent, but some younger children feel overwhelmed if they aren't emotionally ready yet. I know my parents had this problem with me, the teachers thought I was intelligent enough to go one with attending school and I was absolutely a wreck. Unfortunately we often don't take into account that each child matures at a different level, she may need another year of being in day care or staying home before she is ready to attend school.

Uh, it is NOT caused by having sex. Everyone would have cervical cancer at that point. Your mother will most likely not die, they scrape the cells and at the very most do a hysterectomy to get rid of any cancerous cells. As far as what you can do, just be supportive of your mother.

Emotional...so anything that expresses emotion has been tagged as Emo now. Including music, pictures, the way people write, etc etc.

No, it goes to your stomach and dissolves in the acid. If you aren't aware how the body works, do some searching online to find out because it doesn't seem like you are mature enough to be doing anything like that.

No one here can tell you if you are pregnant, but I will tell you that even though he didn't finish, doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. Pre-cum can do just as effective as a job of getting someone pregnant as regular ejaculation. You need to take a pregnancy test or go to a Planned Parenthood to find out if you are.

If you are truely coughing up blood, it could be Tuberculosis in which case you definitally need to get to a hospital because you need to be quaranteened. The other thing that it could be is a severe Upper Respiratory infection, but if it has gotten as far as this, then you need to get to a doctor because you could be having asthma attacks from the congestion in your lungs.

No there isn't a way to make it come early, but if you are on birth control you can actually skip your period with no real side effects. Just don't take the placebo pills.

Yes, there is definitally a chance. Think about this, you have had sex with everyone your boyfriend has had sex with AND everyone THEY had sex with before your current boyfriend. So basically, you have ANYTHING from ANYONE that she touched. If you are having sex, always use protection and get yearly exams.

about 11 weeks ago i had sex with my boy friend 2 weeks later i took a test and it said possative a couple of weeks later i went to the clinic and they took a test and it was negative and they said i probably had a early miscarrige because of the mild cramping i had, it didnt kinda add up to me, but i still never felt "normal" like i still felt there was something inside of me and i still have a cramping, then yesterday i went to the doctors and she said because of the test that she dont think i can be pregnant but she not going to take another test and that if i still have the cramping to go back next week which i think i will be doing, but i havent had a period i had light spotting when my period was due and if it was a month later it would of been last week i got my period but nothing, but now the last week i swear i have been getting fatter only like a lil tiny bit no one else would be able to notice, like it feels like im bloated like 24/7 i normally dont get bloated on my period and this seems really weird to me and i knwo it would be like just weird to stil be pregnant but is there a chance i could still be i dont have any money to get a test, but i think the thing is i was so upset when i found out i had a miscarrige that now im just wishing so much that i did have a baby i dunno, do u think im pregnant??

Go take an over the counter test and if it says positive, go back to the doctor and tell him the results. The chances of a doctors urine test being wrong are very low, but it is ALWAYS possible. If it is negative, there is the chance that you did have a very early miscarriage but that seems odd too. At this point, the only thing you can do is take another test and that is your right as a patient (even at the doctors office), so go insist upon it.

Q: Okay, my situtation is quite complicated actually, and i was specfically looking for someone older with experiance. so, here it goes. First of all, you don't want to go to another state (especially one that is expensive) without a back up plan or any way of quickly getting out of a situation. Second, this is someone you have never met before and do not know how they work in person, you will want to spend a significant amount of time with her before you fully decide on moving there. If you are planning on attending SF State University, great, but don't make a decision on a school based on any girl. If you were both meant to be, then it could last right through college. I personally met my husband online and we have 1 child and another on the way, BUT I never went into the situation with any plans on a long term relationship. I know this is a hard situation, but most teenage romances are not long lived, no matter how many good intentions you had going into it. Just keep an open mind and if it doesn't work out, don't be devistated, you may just end up liking SF without her.

If you are the person that asked a question before and you are a waitress, I don't suggest going for totally dressy shoes. Get basic black shoes, when I was a waitress the best kind I had were Sketchers and they cost around $40 to get a nice pair of pure black ones. They last a long time and wear well, if you are having more problems then that, I suggest getting gel insoles to go into your shoes as those will help support you all day. If none of that helps, there are nurse shoes that are meant for long hours standing. They are more expensive though and you may need to look for them in a speciality shop.

Q: is it safe to have sex while your on your period?

It won't protect you against pregnancy or STD's. On the upside, it can possibly help reduce cramps.

Eczema isn't contagious and causes severe itching. It is often treated with a steroid cream that you can get perscribed from your doctor if you do have it, otherwise the best lotion for overly dry skin is Eucerin.

It is red and looks a bit like hives that last for a while. You can find pictures of it at WebMd.
