Hi, I'm Karlie, and I love to give advice. I currently work for lots of other advice sites, and I'm having a great time doing so. I've been through alot in life, (and, no, im not lying about this) more than normal teenagers have. PLEASE feel free to ask me a question to my inbox. When I see a question in there, I get excited that someone wants my help. I'll never reject any at all. And also, when I leave advice I'd appreaciate feedback more than a "thanks". cause I'd like to know if I helped you or not.
thankyou =]

Hey guys,
(14/f)
it is really important for me to lose weight in one week. I would like to drop like 10 pounds or around there. If anyone has any methods to help he do this, can you PLEASE tell me!! I will not eat seriosuly if that is what i takes me. Any advice is GREATLY appreactied!!
Thanks in advance:) (link)

ok, first off, it is almost impossible to lose 10 pounds in 1 week, but you still could try. 2nd, DO NOT stop eating! If you completely stop eating, you may lose weight, but as a result of no nutrition, your metabolsim automatically slows down to save energy for the rest of your body. I would suggest eating very tiny, healthy meals, and working out daily. I do a gruelling work out almost every day, and im in great shape, so i can definantly suggest that. Some other things are: celery. celery takes out more calories than it puts in, so make it a regular part of your diet. also, drink lots of ICE COLD water. This will actually help you burn calories becuase your body has to warm up the water before it is digested, and this takes energy and calories.
sorry for the long answer, hope i helped!

Ok, I'll start off by saying I'm in college and I've only really had one real relationship in college that lasted about 6 months. There's this girl across the room in class that I think keeps looking at me and I think is really cute and nice, but we never seem to make eye contact (we have a couple times though). She doesn't have facebook or myspace, so I cant tell if she has a boyfriend or not and I'm too shy to just go up and talk to her. I found out though that she's graduating in May (I'm here for another year), so I have 2 problems; I dont really know what to say to her or how to approach her. And time is of the essence, because I really want to talk to her before she leaves to see if something comes of it. How can I just go up and approach her? What would you like for me to do from a girl's perspective? Thanks (link)
|
Well, if she does like you, then if you go up and talk to her on your own thats like making a dream come true for her. I just think you should smile at her once, becuase that will get her thinking, "maybe he likes me" then you'll probably catch her looking at you more. Girls can sometimes be weird, in that way, if you smile at her or just say hi once or twice, she will start noticing you more. That's the perfect start. Hope I helped =]

ok, so my boyfriend of 2 years broke up w/ me about 2 & a half months ago & I am still upset about it. Some days I hate him & other days I miss him & want him back. When he broke up w/ me he said @ first it was because I was possessive and then he told me he just wanted to be single for awhile. Well two weeks later he starts dating a girl who is 15 (he is 17) & she lives 3 hours away. And they only had met once before they started dating. I don't know what to do anymore. Ive been depressed for awhile & it feels like I will never get over it. Then school is going to start in less then a month and Im really scared to see him because I haven't seen him all summer and I loved it but Im afraid when I see him @ school Im going to get upset and the progress I had made will be gone. Do you think that his relationship is just a rebound? And he will ever call me again to apologize? I just want some answers but I dont want to talk to him until they break up. What should I do? (link)
|
I know how you feel. Long time away from someone can change the way you feel, but once you see them again you start to feel the same way you used to. The same thing happened to me, but it's ok. I got over it. Just talk to him calmly and explain how your feeling (be sure its somewhere where no one can interupt so you can focus on the surrent situation) You don't have to wait until he breaks up with his current girlfriend, talking to him now won't do any harm. If all goes well, he will explain how he feels, and then you can work something out.
I am not exactly sure if it's just a rebound. You have to ask yourself, "do i really really like him?" if so, its not a rebound.
This is kind of a sticky situatuion, so if you need anymore answers, just ask =]

well, i had my first makeout yesterday under a bridge. this isnt something i would normally do because usually i am prude. i kinda feel slutish even though it was only like a 20 second makeout, is that normal? should i feel like that? and are you supposed to swallow during it because the first time me and my boyfriend did it, i swallowed and it made a really weird sound and i dont know if i wasnt supposed to but i dont it just felt weird. and then his friend told me that he said i was good for my first time. is there and do's and don'ts about making out? im just really scared i did something wrong
thanks in advance! (link)
|
Congradualtions! It's good that you finally made out for your first time. It's ok that you feel slutish (since you are normally prude) but making out is the farthest thing away from being a slut, so dont worry =] There isn't anything wrong with swallowing, but I woulden't recomend it.
Since he said you were good for your first time, you had to have been dooing something right! If you want any more tips here are some.
- do practice on the back of your hand to get the right pressure. you never want to have very loose lips becuase sometimes that cause lots of saliva, but you don't want to press to hard becuase that can hurt.
- always be confident. that is number 1.
ask more if you are still nervous. hope i helped =]

Hi i'm 15/f. I know this sounds weird, but I never feel girly. I just wear like loose fitting t-shirts and jeans everyday, with my hair in a pony tail. I never wear anything different. I mean, I like girly shirts and cute outfits, but for some reason the way they fit I just can't stand how tight they are. Im not fat or anything they are just so uncomforable. Same with my hair, I just wear it in a ponytail everyday because wearing my hair down just annoys the LIFE out of me. I mean, I know I should just be myself, but do you know why these things bother me so much? What can I do to get used to them? (link)
|
I know how you feel. It can definatly be difficult sometimes. But, you have to realize that the more cute and good you look, the more confident you'll be in yourself. Start slowly. Maybe once a week wear a tight outfit with your hair down. When you start getting used to it, gradually start adding on more and more days until your completely fine. Hope i helped =]

Ok.. I can't reemmber what magazine I was reading .. I THINK it was People or Teen People but I'm not really sure..
But they had a diagram with a girl and they had little arrows pointing to different places on her body (her chest, her face, her hair, etc) and they had different products (like lotions and stuff) to use on those certain areas.
Does anyone know where I could see that online or would anyone be able to tell me what was on it? I'm desperate!! (link)
|
I'm not sure where you can see that diagram. Sorry. But I know that lotion made for girls' chest that says if you rub it on your boobs it'll make them bigger, is fake. No creams and lotion work.
|
well me and my boyfriend are back together he asked me out and i said yeah...but he is being nice but he wants to go to this place where all my friends hangout and all his friends play soccer and we all hang out there and im just worried that he will hit on my friends...and tommorow he is going to new jersey with his friends but i dont trust his friends because they always try to break us up and i dont know what i should do should i be mad that he is going to the those places?...well thank you (link)
|
Well, you can't control your boyfriend if he wants to go somewhere that you don't want him to. I suggest that you either go with him to this "hang out place" or ask someone who is also going to be there to tell you what happens. If he does end up hitting on other girls, tell him about it and how it makes you feel. If he is very sorry and says he won't do it again, give him another chance. If he blows the 2nd chance, hes not worth it. As for the New Jersey thing, there is nothing you can do about that. Just make sure you tell him how much you care about him before he leaves.

do guys like shy girls? guys opinions would be helpful. thankss :] (link)

I'm not a guy, but it depends on what type of guy. You have probably heard that before, but it's true.

Hi, I asked a question about itching 'down there,' it's off and on and once I go to the bathroom and scratch it, it's okay. Do you think it was caused by masturbating? .. I don't think it's a yeast infection because there's no burning .. I did shave there once a while ago, but I don't think it's from that. (link)
|
Yes actually if you do masturbate then that is most likely the cause of the itching.

I'm kind of "addicted" to Gatorade. Everytime we go to the store, I buy it. And, instead of buying cokes to keep around the house like I use to, I now buy Gatorade.. and drink atleast 1 a day. Ok, my question is.. Is Gatorade bad for you? And is drinking this much harmful? Should I cut down on any/all/how much? (link)
|
Gatorade is pretty good for you to rehidrate you and put lost electrolites back in your body if plaing sports. Though it's ok to drink them, one every single day is just as bad as a pop every other day. All that sugar can and will screw up your metabolism (if ur a girl) So I would say, yes! cut down a bit.
|
I was wondering, what are some of the reasons why I am itchy 'down there'. It started being itchy about a week or so ago, and I don't know why. It's off and on and I should be getting my period sometime this/next week. Don't suggest going to the doctors or to my mom because those aren't options for me, I want to know what it could be. Thanks. (link)
|
Usually that is a yeast infection. Sometimes it's normal, but if its also burning a bit, there is a good chance it's a yeast infection. You can buy cremes and stuff to put on "it" and it will clear up pretty quikly, if you have a yeast infection. I know, it's pretty gross. -Karlie

I'm a thirteen year old female.
Well I have a very bad problem with a friend. She thinks I am a backstabber because she thought I got mad at her for taking her old boyfriend, but I said I didn't. And she thinks im an annoying person because she said "Your like a mosquito that won't go away." I've tried talking to her, but nothing helped me. I tried telling her I won't be annoying anymore, but she didn't believe me. We have been friends since Kindergarten and then this happened....HELLLLP..please!!

I used to have the same problems. And actually, ask yourself, is it really you who has the problem? No, it's your friend. Most likely, if she keeps being mean and won't listen to you, it's her fault. But the best thing to do first is talk with your friend, face to face. Ask her if theres anithing you could change in your friendship to make things stronger and better again. If she still doesen't listen, shes probably not a very good friend and listner. Hope I helped! -Karlie

I am from miami and i am 15. I had met a boy and he is 17 we have been friends for a month and he asked me to be his girlfriend so i said yes and a week later he had to move back to new jersey and we have been going out for 6 months now but he works as a chef and barely have time for anything. should i drop him or stay with him? (link)
|
This is a tough one. First you need to reflet, how much do you actually like this boy? If you do like him alot, try to work things out. If you know hes "just another boyfriend" It's best if you leave it at friendship. Hope I helped! -karlie

i dated this guy for about a month and i liked him alot. He was so sweet in person and jus seemed perfect. But, we would plan to do something and he wouldnt show up and make up wierd excuses. It made me suspicious. so later he told me it was over for summer but he loved me and would never stop lovin me. me and one of his friends are friends also. he told me about all the lies my ex told me and how he even tried to cheat on me. but later i found out that his friend telling me the info liked me.. so im not sure who to believe cuz his friend could hav jus lied to make me like him.. but he and my ex decided not to take a break for summer.. i didnt kno what to do.. i decided to believe the friend.. and now im not sure if i made the right decision. i asked my ex and he denied everythin and said he would never do that to me and that he loved me (link)

You need to confront both guys about it. I know you've probably heard this before but It's true. No matter how hard it is for you, you need to try

I don’t ask guys out. They ask me out. Always. But this guy I like hasn’t made a move all summer. We see each other at camp where we both are counselors in training from like 8:45 till 12ish Monday through Friday. We usually talk from 9:00 until 9:15 or so and then later at like 1:00 for like 30 minutes. He is so funny… I think I love him, but I haven’t gone out with him yet, and I want to.
But he won’t make a move and ask me out! I was always told not to ask anyone out *or propose or have sex before marriage or curse or all these other things which I basically abide by*. But camp is over in 2 weeks and them I'm going away for 14 days. And then 2 more weeks of summer and then its like, “Where did the summer go!?”
So if anyone has like, a step-by-step process of asking someone out. Ha-ha. That sounds weird. But I mean, last time I tried to ask someone out, I managed their number and screen name. But he likes me as a friend as do I.
Should I ask him out through like AIM? I am really nervous about it. Today I was going to practice on my good friend Sam, but I couldn’t even… just for pretend.
This is long…. I’m sorry. But does anyone have a step-by-step process?!
Thanks so much!!
Oh, bty, Im 14/f. and hes 14/m. THANKS!

If he doesen't make his move soon, go for it girl! Camp is almost over and you probably won't see him soon again. -Karlie

what are some cute hair ideas for going out to dinner? (link)
|
It depends on what kind of resturant. If it's something more upscale, try dabbing some styiling creme through your hair, then put it up with large velcro curlers. It will give you some bounce at the ends. If the resturant is more low-scalse, wet your hair, then divide into six sections. With a large round brush, roll each section of hair up with it and blow dry. This creates a cute bu tosseld look. Hope I could help! -Karlie
