...I want world peace. Anyone with me? (link)
|
ooh, I am! *waves hand* but you know, it's never going to work out. war and peace go hand in hand; you can't have war without knowing what peace is, and vice versa. therefore you will never achieve full world peace. it's kind of like the war on terror; you can't defeat all terror.

I can't sing loudly! Since 6th grade I've tried out for 5 musicals and I haven't made any of them because I can't project my voice. I've tried everything I know of, trying to sing from your diaphram, not your stomach..and NOTHING WORKS! I know I have a good voice, my chorus teacher even told me she couldn't give me a solo because I wasn't loud enough, but she really wanted to. Any tips on singing loudly would be greatly appreciated. (And good songs to practice with, I'm a second Soprano) (link)
|
in adolescense the vocal chords tend to pull apart a bit more...this is gonna sound stupid, but try practicing baaaing (like a sheep, yes). it'll help you project more.

Why am I black? (link)

because your parents were.
but seriously, it's something about the pigment of your skin...melonime or something like that.

What does everyone here do to become a better writer? I want to be a writer when I grow up and I want to know if there are any writing excercises to become a better one. I know reading helps...but I'm just always in a writers block because all my writing is the same and it gets frustrating.
Know any way to improve my writing?
Anything...even if you think it sounds stupid.
Thanks! :) (link)
|
yay! A writer! that has writer's block. i totally feel your pain.
first i would suggest reading. a lot. a whole lot. When you read, you start to get a feel for writing. trust me, this helps.
next, you probably want to map out a story to write. i find that making character for stories is always easier then actually writing the stories, so try making some characters and soon a plot will begin to develop out of them.
i would also suggest buying a very large notebook and...well...filling it. with anything you feel like writing. rants, raves, poems, ides, more rants...it will help you get through rough patches.
and finally...don't be afraid to suck. i mean, if you're writing something and you think it's bad, keep writing! you can always edit it later and make it even better, or you can scrap the whole thing altogether and try it from a different approach (only next time you'll know how to make it not suck. n_n).

Does anyone else ever get an itchy spot on their hand that, even when you scratch, doesn't go away?
HOW CAN I MAKE THE ITCHING STOP!?! Its brutal. (link)
|
ooh, i hate that.
there's this old legend that says something about depending on which hand is itchy, something good or bad is happening...but i can't remember it. it'll probably go away on it's own thouch in time. but if it's really, really bad, go tell a doctor.

hi can someone please help me,
i am 16 and under weight does any one know what sort f food to eat to help me put on a bit of weight i am not that bothered about it i just want a bit of weight please help (link)
|
wow...someone that thinks they're too skinny! is that even considered an eating disorder?
well...you probably don't have an eating disorder. but don't, you know, don't stuff yourself with junk food so you aren't skinny, because that probably will result in an eating disorder. try talking to someone about it, and maybe eating healthy foods like fruit as snacks.

What can I do about those annoying idiots online who never bother to spell anything right? (a.k.a. newbies). They're really annoying! Everytime I run into one online I just want to stab a fork into an electrical socket... It tingles, but then you die. Can anyone help? (link)
|
probably can't help you there...the world is full of crazy people who don't feel like typing out whatever it is they want to say. just learn to build up tolerance, and if they're really REALLY stupid, then you have my permission to stab a fork into THEM.

I have a very adorable cat named Kiwamu sitting on my lap, but sometimes, when she miows, i'm not sure what she wants. I'm pretty sure it just means she's board, but I can't always let her outside. She always has plenty of food out, and she knows where her litter box is, so I'm sure it is just because she wants attention. How can I keep her entertained when I can't let her outside? (link)
|
my cat does that too - and she's an indoor cat. chances are if your cat's been an indoor cat all her life, then it's probably not her wanting to go outside...there are plenty of other ways to entertain your cat without letting her outside. it depends on your cat's personality and mood. if you haven't brushed her in a while or checked for fleas, it could also be that. ihe could even just be meowing because she wants to. I wouldn't be too worried unless she starts acting weirder than usual or something.
by the way, Kiwamu is a very cute name. XP

Can someone give me some names for a girl and a boy, please? I love writing stories, but I don't know any good names! PLEASE help! (link)
|
well, it depends on what type of story you're writing - fantasy, coming of age, whatever. i would suggest first shaping out your characters; like, are they going to be fun-loving, antisocial, nerdy, whatever. figure out what they will be like. then you should look up on baby name websites.
if you're writing fantasy, you should probably go for a more exotic name. baby name websites, again, are good. so are foreign language translators (like http://freedict.com/). you can also change around real names (like Cassandra into Cassandrae, or Loraine into Lorrenne) or just randomly put together letters (Like Ahrillis or Daemin). you can also use very cool sounding words (like Cloud, though i wouldn't suggest using that since there's a video game character with that name).

i want to write a poem, im not sure what to write about and im not good at making them up lol i will send anyone my poems if they wanna read them. i have one called love lost. that one was acctually good lol. anyways, i need a poetry partner or someone that can help me write a poem 4 my (hopefully) boyfriend. (link)
|
hah! poetry! that's a form of writing, and i'm good with that.
so, you're writing this about your boyfriend, or your crush, or something? well, first you should probably write down all the things you like about him. don't do the standard 'his eyes are so pretty' either, find some quirky things that you like about him to add in there, like how he talks on the phone or something.
after that, you have free reign. be creative, and remember that poems do not have to rhyme. if you're really good at rhyming, then by all means go ahead. you shouldn't try to force yourself to write something either; the almighty poetry muses do not come on command. when you have an idea, write it down, and when you don't, then that's okay. just don't procrastinate or anything.
also, try reading some poetry for ideas. don't steal off of them, just read them.
don't feel bad if it's not good the first time through, because poetry is amazingly hard to write. good luck and happy writing!

Did you see where my sanity went? I need to catch it and sacrivice it to the Gods of Randomness. (link)

have you tried looking in the fish bowl and under your toaster? if it's not there then maybe you can bargain with the leprechauns to get a new one. leprechauns have a lot of sanity stored away.

Im so scared because I just had my period a few months ago and Im 12 yrs old. thats not what im worried about though. i fingred myself and I dont know how deep i went but it wasnt that deep i dont think, but then I went to the bathroom and i saw that i was bleeding from my vagina but i don know if its from my period or not...its almost around the time when i usually have it but im scared because did anything bad happen when i fingred myself? or is it just my period? (link)
|
aw, you poor baby. periods are horrible, i know.
is your blood kinda sticky and mucus like? if it is, then that is your period. and yes. you are supposed to bleed from your vagina. if you're 12, they'll probably have some sort of a health class to stick you in so you learn more about what's going on. if you have a female parental-type figure in your life, like a mom or something, you can ask her. she'll know all about it.
best of luck with your womanhood!

Hey People it's MiSSc!
I'm playing the PlayStation2 Game called Kingdom Hearts. Ok, this is for the people who have/are playing(ed) it. OK. Right now I'm in Neverland for the second time...and I'm almost done with the game. So Sora found Tink and was like, "I can't understand her" so peter pan talked to her and she said that somethings at the Clock Tower. So Sora went to the Clock Tower and there was a Headless Shadow (not sure what it's called) and so I had to attack it. And it gave Peter Pan, i think 10 seconds and then he died, and then Goofy had 10 seconds and then I had 10 seconds and died.
Then I noticed there was this ball under him and i tried hitting it and put fire and blizzard and thunder and all these spells on him and it still didn't work and i died. Then the next time i tried i pressed R1 which is the Lock On thing and it locked to the clock. And I tried putting spells on that and hitting it and it didn't work. HOW CAN I BEAT THAT HEADLESS DUDE AND THE CLOCK? IS THERE SOMETHING THAT I'M MISSING? HELP! Also if you have NE other advice about Kingdom Hearts feel free to tell me. But I REALLY want you to help me on that Headless Dude and the Clock!
Sincerely MiSSc (link)

first i'd like to congratulate you on your wonderful, wonderful choice of game. kingdom hearts is the best.
okay, first, the 'clock tower guy' is called the phantom, so that's how i'll be referring to him. he's an optional boss, so you don't have to fight him if you don't want to. if you do, however, he is a very hard boss to beat, so if you're very low in the levels, then i would suggest levelling up like crazy. if you've beaten any of the other optional bosses then you're probably ready to face him.
first, you should have stopra and aerora, and they should be on your quick magic menu. you're also gonna want a lot of mp and mp based abilities. oathkeeper is a nice keyblade to use, and mp rage and mp haste are good too.
okay, when the phantom begins his countdown, you should go to the clock face that you can lock onto and cast stopra on it. this should give you some more time. you should also cast it.
now, you were right to attack the glowing ball. it changed color, right? when it's red, you use fire, blue you use blizzard, yellow you use lightning, and white you use physical attacks.
like i said, he's very hard, but if you keep at it you might just win. go to gamefaqs.com for more information; they have so many walkthroughs it will make your head spin.
have fun, and remember to start saving for the sequel!
