Q: hello! i'm a level one moderator and i was reading some questions and i noticed an advicenator, her name was cheerbitch696969, was being VERY rude and mean. if she is going to talk like that and be as mean as her answer was, than i think she should have her account suspended. An answer to one question was... "No bitch...you should go die. that can't be dumbass." i think it is uncalled for! if you decide to please let me know i am, natalie*04!

Q: My 10 year old daughter just told me she registered at this site. In checking it out, I am angered that a 10 year old child would be exposed to information on this site. It is totally inapproriate. Permission should be required from a minor's parents before a child can register on this site. There are many, many inappropriate subject matters on your site for children. The concept of the site is good, but it should be geared towards age appropriate topics based on a member's age...again with a parent's permission!!!!!

Children under 13 are not allowed on this site. To start a user account, she lied about her age, we can't do anything about that. The registration pages state this very clearly.

Q: umm just an idea but for some of the questions it would be easier to answer them if you knew it was a female or male. maybe for when your filling out the questions you could have them say if their female or male. that would help. thanks!

Q: I want to ask a question, but I don't want anyone to be able to get into my column and see that I asked it. I know it's anonymous to everyone on the site, but some of my friends can get into my column with my password and everything, and I just don't want them to ever be able to see a certain question that I want to ask. Any ideas on what I can do?

If you didn't want them to see your questions, you shouldn't have given them your password. Change your password, that's my advice.

taking who's questions? I need a lot of information to investigate these sorts of claims. Question links help, other accounts help, I just need more.

Q: There are people on this site that are stealing another persons pictures and questions/answers trying to be them, using their name and such. Is there any way they can be deleted? Such as BarbieBaby11111 and BarbieBabie11111 are taking BarbieGurl111111's stuff. You can tell by the days they joined and BarbieGurl111111 has a pic with salutes.

If they're stealing answers, yes, we'll do something about it. Give me a URL to questions with stolen answers. If they're stealing pictures, she'll just have to deal, we're not enforcing rules about stolen pictures right now.

Q: since when did you sell t-shirts? I didn't realize you were doing that. If you ever need any designs or anything art related, ask. I'd be happy to give you some ideas. Because it's summer, I haven't been working on my art work as much as I need to. I would dream of charging anything, so ask if you want some art or input.

I just put the t-shirt link up a couple of days ago. I didn't announce it or anything, I just put it up. Call me a pessimist but I don't see us selling many t-shirts.

If you've got ideas, I'd love to see/here them! All it takes for me to add new products is an image to slap on them... it's gotta be big, like 2000 pixels wide/tall, and they turn out better if they're really colorful. I'm not artistic though so I stink at making up ideas. If you get inspired to do something advicenators-related, e-mail it to me, it'd be cool.

Q: I have noticed that there is a significant amount of advice that is harmful or potentially dangerous (aside from the blatantly obvious) do the moderators do anything (i.e. disclaimers) to filter. Just curious...

We have disclaimers on the website warning users that they might get bad advice. Not everyone takes this site seriously, and to be honest that's fine with me, sometimes I don't even take this site seriously and it's my site.

Most people are giving good, healthy advice, and that's what's important. People have to be smart enough to decide what's right and what's not.

Q: why do all of my questions keep getting deleted

they're bad, I guess. read through the "help" pages, there are many reasons that questions are deleted, all of which are listed there.

Q: Do you rank columnists as "experienced" based on the # of q's answered or actual life experiences? I would like to be ranked as experienced, as I am a college grad. Thanks!

experienced means 100 answers or more. trust me, I know college grads are experienced, but if I make it an age-based thing everyone will just fake their age.

Q: how do you add music onto our column? and also how do we cut down a picture so that it fits because all of ours say they are too big

you can edit pictures with just about anything... ms paint should work.

as for music, we don't allow that anymore. sorry.

I'm not familiar with madprofile. You'll have to ask someone at that site for help with adding your URL.

Q: I was just wondering a few things. Why dont you kick people like XDreadedXTerrorX off the site? He is giving out absolutely HORRIBLE advice and I dont think he deserves to have access to the internet, much less this. He is absolutely terrible and rude.
Also, I have a no-right-click code in my settings, but it doesnt work. Why is that? Do you have it disabled on the site or something? If it is, I was wondering if you could enable it, because people are copying my answers and pasting them as their own.

disabling right-click is just annoying and doesn't prevent people from copying your answers anyway. if someone is stealing your content, let me know your username and their username and I'll investigate.

Q: I just found out today that I am a Level 1 Moderator =) =) I'm very excited but I think I am going out of town soon so I'm afraid they can take it away from me if I'm not active. Can my level be taken away at all?

If you don't update for two weeks, you get taken off the moderator list. But that's a pretty long time, and if you come back and update your column, you'll probably get added right back when the script runs overnight.

I'm a registered user, shay*shay. I havent been on for a while and I try to log in and its pretty normal. But when press the "Edit Settings" link it says that I must be logged in to see that feature. What is wrong?

hmm... I have no idea, to tell the truth.

try logging out:

and then log back in and then click on a few other links and tell me if it happens on any other pages.

Q: Hi it's jbdreamer-
I have been seeing more and more political questions on the board, and to my understanding this is an advice column, not and opinion board. I have been ignoring it for the most part until I recived and attacking question, and have seen others recive the same. I am a level 2 moderator, but I could not find a way to suspend the user because the question was asked privatly. Would that have been an appropriate action?

Let me tell you somethin.
1)youre telling me that u think women should have the right to KILL their unborn child? thats wrong. under any circumstances. and dont tell me they arent alive in there yet. ive done SEVERAL research projects on it.

2)If we didnt go to war, the terrorists would just REPEAT what theyve already done to us thinking we wouldnt fight back. PLus, its not like those people are being forced to go to war. Its their choice to join the forces you dumbsh*t.

3)Youre right about not being able to choose who you love. And you shouldnt have to stop loving them just because you cant get married. ive also done research on this. theyre are many other factors on letting gays/lesbians marry than just letting them go to a chapel and confess their vows. in this country, along with getting married, theyre tax benefits and many things of that sort that SOME people..it would be possibe for them to be getting married just for those reasons. You might think that thats the same for male/female marriages but its not. its a long story and very confusing.

4)kerry is 'pro-choice'. bush..is pro-LIFRE...youre voting for somebody who says its okay to kill an unborn child when if you just put it up for adoption, you would be making another family very happy as well as be getting paid for the hospital bills. abortions are expencive. plus, kerry looks like his face is melting off but thats beside the point.

and your a comple dumbass cuz u have NO IDEA the things that sadaam did to the us and his country. he was killing thousands of people in gas chambers and torture cells just like in the hollocaust. and he was leading his country to make more attacks on the us. get your facts straight. also, gays and lesbians have been getting along FINE for MANY MANY MANY years so why change things now and make a bunch of controversy?? and kerry is against the death penalty. you know what that means? more people in prision. you know what THAT means? INNOCENT AMERICANS HAVE TO PAY MORE TAX DOLLARS TO PAY FOR THE PEOPLE IN PRISION TO BE COMFORTABLE AND NOT HUNGRY!! So, you wanna pay for murders to be 'comfortable'? i dont think so.

second, you're right in that this is not a political site, this is for advice. If you see questions that are not asking for ADVICE, please rate them down or delete them (if you can).

I'll work on a way to ban users based on private questions.

This advice column is for suggestions, comments, or error reporting about advicenators. If you'd like to suggest a new category, ask me a question. If you'd like to whine, bitch, or complain about advicenators, you may whine, bitch, or complain to me.

Three rules though:
1) Do not ask me for life advice. We have several thousand other members that do that.

2) Do not ask for help, or ask how to do something, or ask about
how something on the site works, unless you've read every word of our help pages and you're sure it's not addressed there.

3) Do not ask me to ban someone or investigate abuse. We have an entire abuse system set up for that.

If you disobey one of these rules, I'll delete your question.

Some guidelines about suggestions:
If you offer a suggestion that I find interesting, I might just ignore your question so it stays in my inbox as a reminder of something to do. Don't be upset that I don't answer you, and don't delete your questions (because then I'll forget!)

If you have three suggestions, please ask three separate questions, that way I can address each one individually. It's a real pain when people ask one question with like twenty different topics in it; I can't keep them straight.
