i been dating this person over a month now and the person is 15 and i am 17 about to turn 18 in a month is that a bad thing because everybody say it is jail bait something like that. (link)
|
This is fine as it is about a year and a half different. If this person was 20 something or older and you were 16 then it's a legal issue and they can be charged for being with a minor. You are fine for now though as nobody I would think would bother to charge anyone for being a year older than someone they were dating even if they are 18 and you're 16. Have fun and do not worry about it.

The world cannot survive without them. Who does one think creates the food, drinks, clothing, and fuels we’ve all grown accustomed to living with? These specially trained workers are called chemical engineers. Chemical engineers find out better ways to extract, purify, package, and preserve the food and drinks that wait for us at our supermarkets. Without doing so, the products may spoil before we ever get a chance to buy them. They can also make new chemicals and materials from simple molecules. In addition to that, they make clothing and fuels. To create fuel, they separate crude oil mined from the ground. However, chemical engineers don’t actually make the clothing. They make the fibers clothing is made of. Some fibers are natural, while others are man made or synthetic. To make a synthetic fiber, a chemical engineer dissolves paper in an acid, depending on the fiber they want to make. The last step is to spin a fiber out of the solution. Chemical engineers are involved in all these activities to keep mankind alive.
Luckily, I managed to get an interview of a gifted chemical engineer by the name of [my dad]. During the course of the interview, I noticed that [my dad] seemed very proud of his job. He was a pleasure to work with, and was quite professional with responding to my elaborate questions. What he shared with me you will find in reading this article. Enjoy.
[my dad] chose his career at the tender age of eighteen, shortly after finishing high school. He only really wanted to be a chemical engineer, allowing him to pursue the career of his dreams without second thoughts. As a child, [my dad] had always been dedicated to his studies. He was born in a very poor family, and as he trudges shoeless through the dusty roads to get to school, all he could wish for was a better life for him and his precious family. This dream kept him determined, and years later his hard work paid off with a scholarship for a university in England. There, he still studied hard, read science, and learned from people who were already chemical engineers. He was successful, and also managed to get a PHD and Masters Degree as well. [my dad] loves his job because he makes things people and he like, and gets paid for it.
Since [my dad] chose his job, he’s earned a living, married [my mom], had a family, and lives well. Two of his three children, [me and my sister], were conceived in London, England. Living in England was tough, [my dad] says. Things were way more expensive there than here in America. Eventually, the [my surname] family happily bid farewell to their previous home in a 1 bed roomed flat, and sang aloha to their bigger, better, current home in [my location]. [my dad’s] paycheck was very important, especially since at the time, his wife’s job wasn’t bringing in all the cash the family needed. Currently, [my dad] is even working on building his own company, and so far everything is running smoothly. [my dad] would recommend being a chemical engineer to all science students, because chemical engineers are useful to practically everyone, unlike some other jobs. Also, they may prefer a challenging career where their skills are really put up to the test.
Overall, we truly have to thank chemical engineers for doing their job. Hopefully, all of them will be as hard-working as [my dad] is. People really don’t want to get sick from digesting spoiled food and drink, or have their cars fail to run from bad petrol. Or have no clothes, from there being no thread to sew them with. When one brings up the topic of careers, usually they’ll automatically think of being a teacher, vet, actress, singer, doctor, janitor, etc. Most people wouldn’t think of being a chemical engineer, or even know what it is. However, we have to realize that there are many jobs out there, and most of them contribute to our lives in a positive way. Being a chemical engineer probably isn’t the funnest thing in the world, but we should be grateful for what these talented people do for us.

I think you are on the right track but the piece is too long. You need a better lead than what you have written and should remove some of your paragraphs such as this one as it is not needed.:

I'm a writer/editor (my day job) so I'll be blunt that this could be an A paper if you go back, take things out and revise it. Right now it's a C because it's cluttered. If you would like I can offer you some editing tips if you send me a message back. Editing and revising it will earn you a higher grade.
The key thing you need to remember is no piece is perfect and to never accept the first thing you write to be the final version as you can always fix it to earn higher grades. Do not make the teacher read longer than they have to.
Short paragrphs, vary the length of sentences and getting straight to the damn point is all you need to do in any essay as well as have topic sentences for each paragraph to introduce what you are talking about next and follow them with that info never straying from it.

im 5' 6'' and 130lbs. i dont look fat but when im in a bikini i still deff. think i do. how to i loose 15-20 pounds in a reasonable amount of time? i dont have extratime to excersize during the day, is there any like 3 minute workouts for target areas? (link)
|
Before starting any kind of diet see your doctor. He/she can put you on the proper diet you need and have a nutritionist monitor your progress. It is not healthy nor wise to start dieting ever without consulting your physician. Weight is determined by height. Your 130 pounds may be exactly the amount you need for your height. Again, see your doctor as they can figure out your BMO number and arrange an excercise/eating program for you.

there`s this guy... he`s completely gorgeous.`ve asked him who he likes and he says that he likes someone but I later found out he was saying that for reasons that are too long to type [and not its not to push me away, its different]. we used to like each other, but now i don`t like him anymore, I just kinda have this lust over him because he has a perfect body & he`s always teases me [by lifting up his shirt, giving me sexy looks, inviting me to places like his room, shower, etc.]. I'm thinking that maybe I should tease him right back, because hell, it makes me want him more. if this is a bad idea? if not, what can I do to tease him? thanks (link)
|
It's not a good idea to do this as both of you can get hurt from it. You enjoy the process of getting someone to be attracted to you and that's fine but you must not use "lust" and sexuality to rope someone in and then when they seem committed to liking you back push them aside because you really did not like them that way. basically, if you do not want that ever done to you do not do it to him.
You should tell him the looks, lifting his shirt etc needs to stop (in a tactful way of course) as you are not interested romantically in him. Especially, you should mention the shower thing as he's looking to take things to a level you do not want to go to and may be under the impression you want that kind of relationship.
It seems you are in over your head here and not sure what is right. Trust your gut! As far as teasing someone when you are in an actual relationship your imagination is the best resource to use as only you can know what will turn him on because what turns someone else on will not work for you.

I burned myself on one of those mini-ovens while heating up some pizza. It hurt a lot at first, but went away after a few seconds. Now (about 1 and a half hours later), it's sort of throbbing and hurts. Any advice? (link)
|
You will have to ignore the advice you just got from the other person who answered your question. You must not put any creams, oinments, grease or musterd (that's a new one to me) on a burn without a doctor telling you to.
Why? all of that will make the problem ten times worse especially if you put butter or grease of any kind on it which some people believe you should do--but I'm sure you knew that but wanted to bring it up because things do get archived around here.
What to do? run your arm under cold water, wrap something around it and go to an emergency room for treatment if the burn continues to make your arm swell or if there are lots of blisters and pain that has not stopped. If it's just a litte raw and hurts then go to a clinic and have them tell you what you need to do.

Two quick questions here. My boyfriend and i (of 1 year 1 month today) are spending new years together. Ill be spending the night at his house. we have done everything BUT sex so far...but i think were ready to move a step forward (im not positive yet...im sleeping on it for a few nights). Anyways....on to the questions
1.) Sooo my bf got a condom from a reliable friend id say....5 months ago...and its an individual one..and it doesnt have a expiration date on it. i was wondering if like condoms go bad after that amount of time or if its more along the lines of a year or something. I know people are supposed to pay close attention to the exp. date...and it sucks that it doesnt have it on it.
2) Is it more likely to not get pregnant if you are having your period (i think i may have mine tomorrow) ? I know he wont care if its bloody/yucky...but i was wondering if it wood be a good thing to be having sex during it (or vice versa...a bad thing). We will, of course, be using that condom.
Soooorrry its so long but i really hope i can have some help with this!! thanks!!! (link)
|
Hi,
Condoms do indeed expire and that's a huge problem if the date it expires is not there. You just cannot trust your safety and protection to it so throw it out and buy new ones from the drugstore. If you both are unable to do that or obtain them from a birth-control clinic you are not ready to tackle sex just yet. It's protection over embarassment and unwanted pregnancy that is most important here.
If you have your period it is not possible to become pregnant as there is no vaginal lining or way for an egg to get fertilized and not be shed with the menstrual blood. Really think this out before proceeding as a night of passion on New Years that may go wrong because of a questionable condom ain't worth it.

i have this small bump behind my ear. it's under the skin & some what hard. i've had it for years now. it's pretty small, doesn't hurt at all. i wouldn't even notice it was there until i felt it awhile ago. it's on my head directly behind my ear. it's not red or irritated. when i touch it, other then the bump, it feels like anything else. no pain whatsoever. should i go get it checked?? it doesn't seem too serious, only because i've had it for years, it stayed the same size [never got bigger or smaller for that matter], and was never painful. any ideas??
thanks!! (link)
|
For peace of mind, see a doctor who can tell you during an appointment what the bump is. I may not be a doctor but I know if the bump were a serious problem you would tremendously ill by now if it has been there for years.
It's likely something benign that may even be able to be removed in a medical procedure. Bottom line, ask your doctor if it's really troubling you.

I have a plasma tv that I want to hang on the wall.
What do I do about all the wires/cords/ect. that will be hanging down to the dvd player and such? (link)
|
Did you just get the TV now? If so, look for metal or plastic parts in a bag that kind of look triangler or unusual. Those are your wall mounts and there should be screws too to attach the TV to the wall. All of this information should be in the front section of your manual which if the TV is new is in the box.
If your set is old and you do not have the manual stil or for that matter the wall mounts go to the Web site for your TV brand and call the number for info about your model number and where to get wall mounts. It's all there in the manual usually with a ton of pictures. I just bought a HD TV myself and opted against mounting it to the wall as it's a royal pain in the butt.

My bf's name is George and he's really hairy down there and when we have sex it rubs up against me like a rug burn when we're having sex I really want him to shave it off. What should do I do? (link)
|
I have a hunch but I could be wrong that the issue is not with his pubic hair but with a reaction to the spermicide on the condoms you are using. I cannot see how pubic hair brushing against you would cause burning unless you had shaved your pubic hair off and it rubbed against you then. In that case, the only way I can see to solve your problem is ask him to shave the area or allow your pubic hair to grow back in.

ok my friend is in jail and i dont know the whole story on why hes there. i was wondering if there is a website i could go to that mabye has records of prisoners there or something. thanks for the help! (link)
|
The public is entitled to view charges against someone. As far as a Web site to do so, that depends on the particular police department that arrested him and if they put that info out online. Odds are, you can look at what charges are on file by visiting the police station in person.
They might not give it to you over the phone but you can try as each region has different policies. If your friend is apt to get upset for you doing this do not proceed as to a remote (small) degree it's a matter he needs to handle privately on his own without people (outside of yourself) knowing about it.

What age do you think it is appropriate for a girl to lose her virginity and talk to her parents about birth contol? (link)
|
Hi,
Deciding to have sex really has nothing at all to do with age. It's all about maturity, not rushing into it, and knowing you are physically, emotionally, and mentally ready. I feel strongly that if you are old enough to have had sex-ed classes in school or are considering losing your virginity that you are mature and old enough to ask your parents about birth-control.
Most parents feel better about their kids having sex if they were responsible to seek guidance and protect themselves. Whatever you decide here be sure you are doing it for yourself and not to please or keep a guy in your life.
