ok my friend is in jail and i dont know the whole story on why hes there. i was wondering if there is a website i could go to that mabye has records of prisoners there or something. thanks for the help!

The public is entitled to view charges against someone. As far as a Web site to do so, that depends on the particular police department that arrested him and if they put that info out online. Odds are, you can look at what charges are on file by visiting the police station in person.

They might not give it to you over the phone but you can try as each region has different policies. If your friend is apt to get upset for you doing this do not proceed as to a remote (small) degree it's a matter he needs to handle privately on his own without people (outside of yourself) knowing about it.
