ive been going out with this kid for about eight months (we've liked eachother for over a year) and we still havent kissed yet. now, ive never been kissed before, so im not sure how to make the move. I've waited long enough for him to make it, but he hasnt. help please :]

oh yeah and we usually hangout with a bunch of people, if that helps.

Heres what I did to help myself in this sitch;
[Pull him aside if you're in a crowd]
Put your forehead against his, and just look into his eyes. My boyfriend and I do this and we just laugh at how silly we look. THEN, put your hand on his cheek and just tilt your head to kiss him. You can lead to making out this way or stop at a simple kiss, the choice is yours.

Or, I've always wanted to try this:
[Pull him aside again, PDA is not necessary]
Stand right infront of him and say "Finish this ryhme, Miss Me miss me now you gota .. " Hopefully he'll say 'kiss me' Then say "I'd be happy to" and .. kiss him. You can go this way if you want to give him a little heads up!

i saw a really cute pair of leg warmers in a&f and i wanna get them but like what do i wear them with, what kind of pants? since it's getting cold i will probably wear jeans and if you were jeans you cant see the legwarmers. i dont really wear mini skirts, once in a while. and it would look weird under sweatpants so what type of pants do you wear the leg warmers with?? pictures are nice.

Try wearing them over a bootcut pair of jeans.
Put on the jeans then slide the legwarmers over them just like wearing socks on the outside.
Then for a top you could wear a cute matching/corresponding sweater or longsleeve shirt.

Pair them up with a cute pair of flats. (If the legwarmers are a solid color, try a patterned shoe vice versa) or a brown birkenstock/potatoe shoe.

My Boyfriend and I had sex right. Well he got done took the condom off and wiped his penis off with a towel I believe so. Well maybe like 2 hours after that we had sex unprotected. Do you think im pregnant? If so like what do I do an is it even possible?

I'm just going to clear this up: If you have sex there IS a chance of getting pregnant. If you have unprotected sex there is a GREATER chance of getting pregnant. If you didn't want to get pregnant you shouldn't of had sex.

See if you get sick tomorrow; then buy 3 pregnancy tests. This way you'll know for sure.

I've cheered for seven years so I might have a few tips to making the squad.

Smile, smile, smile.
Ya you're going to hear that alot, but trust me, IT WORKS. Don't walk around with a stupid cheesy smile, just be nice, laugh, have a good time.

Stretch for jumps and keep limber.

Cheer loudly and yell from your diaphram.

Cheerleaders are leaders (obviously ha) so if a judge/coach asks for a volunteer for something jump to it! Leadership skills show greatly.

After tryouts (if you guys have a day to learn things then the actual evaluation) go home and practice, practice, practice. Show your mom, friends, whoever, just get comfortable doing it. Then add in attitude.

Which leads me to my next tip, have an attidude. No not a bad one, a postive one. Like staying happy for example. Add some flare to the dances and cheers to stand out.

Really pop your motions and keep them tight during the chants.

Contrary to what the Advicer before me stated I disagree about sleeping in a bra. I happened to ask my doctor during an appointment one day and she said sleeping in a bra prevents extra sagging. Now, sleeping in a pushup bra may cut into your skin (like leave those deep circulation marks, not litterally cutting) so I recommened sleeping a soft regular bra or a looser sports bra.

But wearing a pushup often will not make your boobs shrink nor grow.

i made the team!! your advice you gave me be4 i think helped me!! i practiced very hard be4 the actual tryouts! they call every1s house 2 tell you if you made it or not! and the coach told me that i had very high scores! her daughter is 1 of my bffs and shes on the team of coarse but she told me i had the third highest score overall everyone! i smiled hard did my cheers well and the dance well 2 and did my stunts and tumbling perfecto!! our 1st practice is tuesday and im alittle nervous to see wat we r doing! im a flyer the coach told me on the phone but im nervous wat should i do? and also i wanna give advice to others on this website like you do! how do i do that?? please w/b asap!! thanks

Okay well, I've never personally been a flyer, because I'm taller then the girls on my squad, but I have cheered for nearly seven years so I've picked up a thing or two.

ALWAYS lock your legs in a stunt, this helps the bases TREMENDOUSLY. When loading in for a stunt, push hard off the base's shoulders and pull yourself up to help out the bases. They can't do all the work themselves. Find a spot level with you on the wall and concentrate on that to help your balance. For extra balance work on standing in the Liberty or Aerobeque stance at home so you'll nail it when it comes time to do those in a stunt. (If you're unsure of what those are, ask a squadmate to demonstrate. It'd wouldn't make sense trying to describe them online) Use your arms to pull up your body weight, also be aware of the counts. When cradling, ride the pop by pulling your arms up and settling in a pike position. When you fall to the bases STAY TIGHT, flying arms and legs can really get someone hurt .. I had a broken nose thanks to that. Wrap your arms around the bases neck/shoulders and use your stomach muscles to pop out of their arms when they catch and prepare to release you.

Now, to give advice you have to be fair.
You need to see the askers point of view, so don't attack them. Make sure you always tell the truth, don't make up that being popular is the best and they should act like a snot to become one. Tell them the truth, be sweet. Just think about the answer they truly need and think about how they are answering the question. Use personal expierences to help them out. Don't answer questions you have no idea about (Ex: I'm a virgin, I'm only 14, therefore I don't give people answers on sex questions) Also, check for spelling errors, no one will believe you know what you're talking about if you mispell a word.

What are those for? What are the purpose of them? How do you use them and before or after brushing your teeth? Are they suppose to make your breath smell better b/c it really didn't help but I think it made it worse..

They are used to rid of that
nasty plaque and food particles that
gather on your tounge; in most cases
it does reduce bad breath.
I recommened using it before you
brush your teeth; then brush your teeth;
and brush your tounge too; then rinse with
mouthwash.

My wonderful boyfriend left his pillow next to a wall that was covered in damp and now the whole pillow and the pillow case (part of a setso not easily disposed of) are covered in a blackish yellow mould. I've tried washing them but it didn't work. Any suggestions??

Throw it away.
Mold is dangerous; in some cases bleach
can kill it, but still sleeping on a pillow
case that might be harvesting mold bacteria can
lead to very serious illnesses.

I would love to get something very nice for my best girl friend (I'm a guy). But I don't know what to get. To be honest, I've recently started liking her, so I kind of want the present to show that a little. Any ideas? Thanks!

Listen to what she says around Christmas time, or even ask her "So, what are some things you're wanting for Christmas?" Pay attention to some things like favorite candy, movie, music, color. A cute stuffed animal is a classic. You could wrap a ribbon around its neck and attach a poem you wrote yourself. (Try to be a little more creative then 'Roses are red ..' )

You could go for a picture frame with a picture of the two of you. If you guys don't have many pictures, you could go with jewlrey. (Not a diamond necklace, just a cute heart pendant *or ring etc* from the cheaper section of JCPenny's, Kohls or other stores of that sort.

You could bake her cookies, that would be cute.

If you would like to express that you like her more, give her a card and in it write that she is presented with a trip to the movies and dinner paid for by you and she may pick the night and movie.

You could go for a scavenger hunt type of thing (I personally would LOVE this) Leave about 5 clues around her house/school/car *depending on age* leading to the next clue.
Try to keep the clues about her as well so she'll catch on that its from an admirer, such as if you were trying to lead her to a garden your clue could be "Gives off a scent as sweet as you; in the garden you'll find your next clue." And for the finale you could stand in the garden holding flowers for her, kiss her if you wish, and tell her how you feel.

My mom and brother are really sick. They have been puking all night and barely can move. I've been around them a lot and getting them stuff, but I am worried I will get sick too since apparently it's contagious. My dad just had surgery so I am not going to leave the house and make him take care of them. I just was wondering if there is anything I can do to prevent myself from getting sick as well..besides staying away from them? Thank you =]

Wash wash wash; be sure to wash your clothes, hair, and hands everyday because nasty viruses can cling onto them. Carrying around a bottle of Purrell can't hurt either. Try not to directly touch your family either unless really necessary, but if you do be sure to scrub!

Take vitamins also, any kind will help.
Just keep your immune system up, drinking OJ
is also proven to really help boost your immune system!

okay for the girls. i started my period and it kind of smells.how do you et it to be like virtually odorless like a certain kind of pad?

There are some scented pads out there, I believe Kotex makes them but I'm not 100% positive. To keep the smell under control, change your pad once every 2-3 hours. Also, Always makes those new pads with a cleaning wipe on the front that way you can clean youself with every change, also reducing the chance for odor.

If you are willing to try tampons early, go for that. They keep you odorless and they are 800384734 times better then pads, I swear by it. They took me several months and tries to get them in and used to them, but now the thought of using pads is pretty much impossible for me. So I highly recommened a tampon.

14/f Ok so there is this guy that i really like, and we are pretty close friends. The winter snowball dance is coming up, and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to ask him to go to it with me, even if we just went as friends. Or should i wait for him to ask me?

Nothing yet? Step up, ask him.

While you two are talking slip in something like "Hey, are you going to the Snowball Dance coming up?" if he says 'no.' Then try "Well, would you like to go with me?" If you see him struggling with an answer you can slip in a "Just as friends if you want" move, that way its more casual and less threatening.

If you're more of the take-charge tip try this:
Ask him "Hey are you taking anyone to the Winter Snowball dance?" if he says 'no.' say "Now you are" then wink at him.

Or.

Leave him a little cut-out snow flake on his locker saying meet me at ______. Then you can ask him that way too.

I'm so depressed, I only found out this morning that my dad wants us to move house, he says he doesn't know where...Just go. We only just got here really, haven't been here long , but it's a really great place and we all love it here. I don't know why he wants to go. I'm just about to start a new school, a new job and now we have to go?! All that aside, the best thing that's ever happened to me will be taken away from me. My boyfriend is the most perfect, beautiful person and I'm so scared I'll lose him, that's my biggest concern. I love him more than anything and I just don't think I can let him go. My dad is often all talk no action but I dunno this time. I can often talk him out of stuff....Please, I need help, what will I do? Now I havent even started school or my new job yet...and I just could bear to leave.

I somewhat relate to you; my father has said time and time again were moving to another county because he wants change. However, he's a big time talker, and nothing really happens.

Try not to worry about it so much, I know its hard. Concentrate in succeeding at school, staying close with your boyfriend, doing great at work, and finding some great friends. That should keep you busy.

In the meantime, talk to your dad. Try to figure out why he wants to move; then try a compromise. Try "Can we give this house 6 more months, then if you still don't like it we can begin talking about moving to a new city."

Just try not to overstress it.

Acne is not a big deal considering everyones got it. However if you look like "Pizza-Face" and people are rejecting you more because of it I recommened seeing a dermatologist to rid your worries (and acne!) quicker.

I've heard ProActive is great, but I do understand that its expensive. Sure, acne may turn away some girls, but most don't care to much. Stay sweet, funny, and yourself and you'll be fine.

here's my problem:
I'm one of the youngest cousins on one side of my family and it's getting depressing for me to watch them all leave for college. 2 of them I don't even know! Part of the reason being that I have 10 other cousins besides them and a second cousin. I miss them so much and they don't even know it! I used to like one of my cousins when I was little before I knew he was my cousin, and I'm pretty sure he found out. I don't know what to do because now he might still think I do, but that was 7 years ago, everyone says I should tell him before he leaves for college too, but isn't there an easier way?

Well I totally know how you feel. I'm the second youngest of 26 cousins on my dad's side. I've never met half of them because they all live in Western United States and I'm stuck with my immeadiate family on the East side. Most of them have kids now and I don't even know them either.

I recommened getting their MySpace, phone number, email, or address and getting in contact with them. Ask them about their lives (such as whats going on) where they're going to college, and tell them you want to get to know them since you are flesh-and-blood.

As for that cousin who thinks you like him. Just laugh it off and tell him you were young and had no clue he was your cousin. Most likley he's forgotten about that now or knows better.

If you want you could help arrange a family reunion for all the kids of the family to get to know each other better before everyone leaves.

I know where you're coming from because I had to help a friend deal with this situation before.

I must agree wtih the first columnist to answer this question, I'll elaborate more on my personal perspective.

A popular person doesn't mean they're rude, snotty, really hott, or dresses perfect with a perfect body. Heck our popular girl is size 7 but she's just so sweet and so much fun to be around and she really tries hard at everything to attempts. A lot of people respect her for that, she's THEIR role model, not enemy.

I recommend you stay reliable to your friends.
I recommend you stay true to who you are and your friends. Keep their secrets, help them out, be nice and polite to everyone, remember small things like their birthdays (This is a big deal to alot of people) and try to be fair and not to talk about people in a negative way.

If you stay cheery and a great person to be around your popularity (or atleast your true friends) aren't going anywhere.
Find your inner circle, make sure they're great friends and have a great affect on you then go from there. Concentrate on keeping them more then your popularity.

Hi, i have had maroon ugs for a year now. I have never put them over jeans. I waswondering ho you do it so it looks good, i tried it but the jeans got all wrinkly. If someone could maybe send me a pic and some advice on how to do it, that would be great!

Try buying skinny jeans or boot cut jeans.
These will not wrinkle and they fit smoother in the boots (Hense the boot cut part) You can find these jeans at Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie and pretty much any store considering skinny jeans are a big style now.

If you do not have any skinny jeans or you cannot purchase any I recommened folding them over by taking the flare and wrapping it around your ankle then safety pinning it into place. Then slide the boot on over.

i want to get invisiline braces when i have to get braces on. but ive heard that they dont work and theyre very pricy. what do you know about them? do they work? how much are they?

I know a few people who have had them.
I personally found it disgusting when I was talking to them because the Invisalines would fall out and it'd make them drool alot. They'd have to take them out everytime they ate and they always had to clean the braces and their teeth at school which also grosses me out.

I know they can be almost 4x more expensive they regular braces and most insurance companies don't fully cover the cost of them.

They do take a bit longer to work, also the braces break on occasion or get lost. I have regular braces and I don't find them very annoying at all. To keep the attention off my mouth full of metal I try not to wear shiny lip gloss; instead I play up my eyes to people will concentrate on them more.

I recommemed regular braces 100%.
