i'm 16 and my family never listens to me when somthing happens to my younger brother(14) and sister(13) that is an accident. the other day my sister and i accidentally ran into eachother is a small hallway and she started to cry and i got grounded because i 'shoved' her into the wall. my parents never belive me because i lied 1 time about my sister having someone in her class to help her put with something that i had no idea about what her teacher wanted her to do. my brother is always beating me up and calling me fat, a hoe, and a bitch in front of my parents and he never gets in trouble even tough they watch him do it. no one in my family treats me fairly and the other day on our way home from the boling alley my parents were telling my how to fix my bowling but i told them that still had to work on throwing the ball properly and and they made me walk halfway to our house which was about 10 miles from where they kicked me out of the car. is there anyway for me to get my family to treat me better and get them to listen to me. i don't want to get taken away from my faily. i know that i'm the oldest but that doesn't mean that my family has to treat me like this. is there any way to get my family to respect me?
The government can force your family into counciling, which is the best you can hope for in your situation. Talk to your teacher, or someone else who works for the government about it.

my name is katie. i am writing for advice because i found a glass pipe with weed in it in my moms purse about 6 months ago. we got into a huge fight about it and she promised me she would get rid of it.; i never saw after that. but the other day i was looking in my moms purse for my library card and it was in there. i am so sick of smelling that smell on her clothes. it makes me really depressed and today i couldnt take the pain anymore and i cut my arm with a pair of scissors. i am so sad. i am lost and confused as to why she lied to me and about something so horrible to lie about. she could get in huge trouble for this. and i dont want to lose her over something like drugs. i am just really depressed and i havent talked since i cut myself. my arm is still bleeding and i did it in the early afternoon. i dont want my special ed teachers or therapist to find out. i am terrified of going back to the hospital because last time i went there i was put in restraints for trying to hurt myself. please help me. i am so scared.
There are a number of things you could do. They all kind of suck. The best thing, I think, is for you to do nothing, your mother probobly wont get caught. However, if you become unbearably depressed you need to remove yourself from the situation; get help from the government/school so you are taken care of somewhere else, or run away from home. You could also talk to a therapist, but that will probobly result in your mother being arrested AND you being taken care of by someone else AND being put on medicine and many other bad things; so avoid doing that if you can.

All electronic devices output some radiation that could cause cancer. However, salt substitute(which is somewhat radioactive) radiates more than these devices, and people EAT that all the time, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Ok, so I have a camera phone, right now. I broke my digital camera. haha & i have to wait till christmas to get a new one, so as you may or may not know.. camera phone pictures, dont ever turn out that super. Like my teeth will look kinda like yellow or something & then I go & look at my teeth in the mirror, & there like so white. Or, i'll look pale or something. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew of any editing picture thing, where I can fix my teeth, make me tan, make it only some parts black & white.. & stuff like that. I'm not really into the like painting my picture, with designs & stuff. I just want the other things, more.

That is a normal weight for your hight. The size of your clothes are only numbers, it's how you look that matters.

I know that if you crack your fingers a lot, that you're bound to get Arthritis, but I also hear cracking you back is good. I tend to crack my neck a lot, will that somehow cause Arthritis?
Cracking any part of your body WITHOUT using your hands or pushing against something is good(like just stretching). If you use your hands to crack your neck, it could cause neck problems later in life, just crack it using the muscles in your neck.

My wife and I own a business where travel is necessary. I have a valued employee that would be very difficult to replace - and he is a close friend, and I do not want to replace him - even if keeping him would pose difficulties.
My wife is involved in our travels, as is our employee. Since we are sometimes away on business for as much as 2 weeks or more at a time, we have structured our travel so that his wife can accompany him. We have given her some light duties and some limited employment, and we pay both her travel expenses, as well as his, including meals and lodging. This is an accomodation for him, and for their well-being.
However, she takes advantage of us at every opportunity. We enter a restaurant, suggesting a price range for the meal we are willing to obtain, and she often exceeds this amount by almost double. When trying to deal with it, our employee lets us know that he wants her left alone by us - but he does not correct her. He appears to be afraid of her.
She refuses to be accountable to us or to him - and has caused several problems on our last trip. She insinuated herself and her agenda into a meeting that she was in attendeance at, though she had no business doing so.
At a restaurant with people with whom we had just done business (and where they picked up the tab), I was horrified to see her take a handful of butter in her hand (and palm) and then butter corn on the cob by rubbing it with her butter drenched hand. It was disgusting, and I had to leave the table for a bit.
When trying to correct the situations, both she and her hiusband say that I am treating them like children, and he will not allow me to correct the situation - nor will he.
An association we all belong to has had some complaints brought against her for her prima-donna actions - and they are being dealt with separately by that organization for her attitude and actions.
Our business is in the area of fine arts, and he is very gifted in this area - and very hard to replace. Replacing him would, in all likelihood, cause us to have to cease operations in our business for 3 to 6 months - and would hinder our business for up to a year. He knows this and, he seems to be aware that they have us over a barrel.
He has been a good friend and is highly valued by us. Letting him go would cripple us, and we have contemplated actually closing our business rather than allowing this to continue as is - or to operate in a crippled manner with his departure. The problem is her - not him - but he refuses to travel unless she accompanies us.
Perhaps the weight of comments from those on this site as to the outrageousness and unreasonableness of her behaviour will convince them that they need to change.
Yeah, you have to get rid of her. Tell the valued employee that either he gets her under control or you will fire him, explaining that the damage done by his wife outweighs the damage done if he is gone(whether true or not). I think the fear of not having a job will get him to stop his wife from doing that.

ok well my friend max is an athiest. he doesnt belive in any kind of god. hes like a science nerd so that probably has something to do with it. well i really want him to belive in God but i dont know how i can talk to him about it. we arent close enough to talk about that stuff. what should i do?
He will probably be offended no matter what you say. Just like if he came up to you and said "I want you to stop believing in god". If you can think of a way he could convince you to stop believing in god, that's the same method you use to get him to start.

i know the general stuff to make a myspace layout. my problem is the background. i wanna make like an abstract kind of thing, but i don't know what kind of program i should use and how i shoud do it. i have pictures from other backgrounds and i wanted to put them together to make it look abstract, but i don't know how. it's like putting a piece of cloth with another one on top of it, although yur doing it on the computer. i know photoshop is a good program, but i've downloaded a free trial of it before, and it's not gonna let me download another free trial. any help will be so appreciated! thanks a lot!

Ok, well i recently went to the site www.bluejackingtools.com and i wanted to try out some of there programs and download them jsut for fun and mess around with some of my friends. But when i download a program it won't run on my computer. It only saves it to a file. Do I first have to transfer it to my phone before i can use the program??? all answers are appreciated!!!!!

On photoshop 9 I like to make icons, but I can't draw pixelated hearts and stuff cause the paintbrush always is like, faded. It's a regular square brush. How can i make it so when i make a pixel, it isn't faded, it's just one solied color? Thanks!
I've never used photoshop, but I use The GIMP, and in that there's a pencil tool that allows you to draw rough pixels. Try to locate something like that on photoshop, or download The GIMP(it's free).

I am having trouble finding gifts for my boyfriend because im not really sure what he wants. He plays guitar and video games a lot, but i dont have any money yet.
