Hi, this is Kate. I'm 17. My life motto is 'Live Laugh Love', I really think those are great words to live by and I'm planning to have it made into a tattoo. I'm not religious but I love learning about different religions. I write stories based on things that have happened to me because sometimes I have days where I just think 'wow that sounds like something out of a book'. I've finished 3 stories and I'm about to start my first horror story..very exciting. I believe in fairy tale love...the kissing in the rain, staring at the stars on the rooftop kind of love..Why? Because I'm in that kind of love and its been the greatest time of my life. And it didn't come easy.
I'd love to help you with whatever issues come your way. I've been in relationships where the guy was too old for me, the guy was my best friend, the guy just wanted to get some. I've been the other woman but I'm not proud of it. I've been the girl who waits years to be with the guy she wanted.
I come from the type of home where everyone seems okay and then when everyone leaves its chaos. My parents should have been divorced years ago and I can't stand to be around either of them so for now I'm going day by day, only coming home to sleep and counting down the days until I go to college in August.

i was wondering if anybody had any recommendations for magazines. i already love to read cosmo girl and seventeen, although sometimes, cosmo girl is not on the racks and it's dissapointing. i also read teen, but do you know of any magazines that are for teens, 13-17? i like magazines like seventeen, and hope to find more! im 15 and i love Teen Vogue. it's very rare that you would see it on the racks but i love it because i like all that high european fashion sort of thing. elle girl is good but im not sure if they're still publishing it but Elle is good too, a little more towards the 15+ age group though. thats all i really know of. teen vogue is really good though.

ok well first of all braces suck, rubber bands are the worst. anyway. there are 2 kinds of braces, orriginal, with the colorful rubberbands around each bracket, and damien style which dont have colors. they're just all metal. i have damian and sometimes, depending on what sort of things you need to have fixed, they'll put colored rubberbands on a few of your teeth. you have to keep them clean or else when you get them off you'll have white spots on your teeth. rubber bands are the worst no matter what type of braces you get. with me, i have to wear 3 rubber bands that go in every direction all day. but i don't do that because it's impossible to talk with them in. because i do this it's going to take a few extra months to get all these things straightened out in my mouth. when you first get them on it depends on your tolerance for pain, for how bad they're going to hurt. for me, i can tolerate that annoying pain. i recomend taking a tylenol about half an hour before you go, it'll numb you up a little. when you get the wires tightened it wont hurt at first, then about an hour or two later you'll start to really feel it. ok i think thats it, if theres anymore questions you know where to leave them.

im 16/f. my boyfriend is experienced and has had sex before and i am still a virgin. he fingered me the other day and when he put 2 fingers in it really hurt me. there really are good guys out there. it took me 2 years of bad relationships just to begin to understand them a little. although they might not always admit it they probably want a relationship with the cuddling and the emotional stuff but of course they want to seem tough so they don't say that. guys are probably just as clueless when it comes to the female mind as we are to them. start by becoming friends with alot of guys and they'll introduce you to more guys. after those two years of searching for a guy that would really care about me i realized i was really in love with my best friend. he had the whole package, body, understanding, compationate, loves to cuddle (and do other stuff). of course when he's with his guy friends he gets stupid but that's how all guys are going to be. so meet some guys, then you'll meet some more guys. make friends with them so maybe they'll open up to you so you can see the real them inside. its like a present, you have to open it to see what it is before you regift it. see what's inside of the guys before you forget about them as boyfriend material. hope i helped a little

i feel like i wrote this question. ok so this is how my situation went. we ended up starting to flirt which was totally wrong but we did it anyway. 3 months later, which was a long time, his girlfriend broke up with him, he was devestated but i was there for him, and during that healing period he started to like me, no we're starting an intense relationship. i know exactly how you feel. you want him but you want him to be happy, and you want him to somehow be happy without the other girl. its so difficult, especially when that other girl is a friend. i agree with the other person who answered, flirt a little and see what happens, be a really good friend. if you expose youself (emotionally not physically lol) then he'll expose his emotions and know you really care and want to get closer with him. let me know how it works out, it eventually worked out for me

i had this problem. i don't think i would have ever gotten a kiss from my boyfriend if i didn't kiss him first. we were in a room, alone from everyone else and he was about to leave the room and i said "hey get over here" and i kissed him. the end. sometimes you just have to do things yourself and this was one of them. it may not be your thing to make the first move, it wasn't for me either but i just did it.

Im 14/f and he is 15/m
Well, lately My boyfriend and i haven't had anything to talk about on the phone. It seems like we have drifted apart. We have been going out for 5 months and 9 days. I love him, but im not in love with him. He has a low self esteem and thats a major turn off for me. Just because me and him are so different. But, i dont know what happened? I mean this just started getting this way. And we fight constantly about the most stupid things ever. And every little thing he does annoys me like crazy. And he'll get mad over little stuff. And to be honest he acts like a girl. Always whining and getting upset about something. I dont want our relationship to end, but in a way i do. But for now since i am in doubt, i thought i would just get advice to see what people think about this. And i guess i kinda just dont want to hurt him anymore.

i was in this exact situation about a year ago. my guy whined and complained and acted like a little girl, it was pathetic. at first i didn't want to talk to him about it and wanted to try to work it out because it was almost prom and he had already paid for me. but a few days after that i talked to him and said that i didn't feel the same connection that we used to have. he agreed but said he still loved me which made it hard for me because i didn't really love him anymore. i ended it so he wouldn't be dragged along in a relationship that wasn't working. im not saying that you should end the relationship, deffinately talk to him first but in the end you might find that breaking up is better than being in a bad relationship. hope i helped, these situations are hard.

I really like my best friend. The only problem is that he has a girlfriend. He has been dating her for awhile and really likes her. But he will say things like, "If I ever break up with my girlfriend I'll go out with you." It seems that he is joking but then I'll have some mutal friends saying that we would make a cute couple and that we should go out. He acts like he likes me but i dont know if that is because we are such close friends or what. I want to tell him but I dont want to ruin our friendship and I dont want to break up his relationship. i am in this exact same problem. my guy friend said that when his relationship is over that he will be there for me if i wanted to go out with him. our relationship is a little more complicated but anyway, i liked him for a really long time and was devestated when he got a girlfriend. i told him that i used to like him but forced myself to get over him because i didn't want to ruin his friendship. i lied, i still liked him when i said that. i also told him that sometimes, despite that i've accepted the fact that he has a girlfriend, the feelings just come up again. he was alright with it and i actually think it made us better friends because he knows that i trust him and he trusts me. so my point is that you should find a way to tell him you like him without saying that you want him. because if you're a good friend to him which im guessing you are you'll be able to understand that he is in a relationship which he is enjoying. tell him that you had to tell him you liked him just to get it off your chest even thought you know nothing is likely to happen anytime soon. let me know how it goes, this question was so strange to read, i felt like i wrote it.

start off by smiling at her in the hall, then eventually say hi in the halls. then maybe say hi if you pass her while going to your seat in class. then ask if she has a myspace, email, aim. email her asking about assignments even if you know what they are. it'll make her feel that if she forgets something she can ask you about them, then you can start a conversation. once you get to know her a little tell her how beautiful she is. don't say shes hot it'll make her think you're just in it for a physical relationship.

I just finished reading Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld. When I go to the library I never seem to be able to find a book that actually looks interesting to me. Like all the books are about 26 year old single women that work for a magazine in New York City. Does anybody know of any books kind of like Prep, more for teenage girls .. that are good? when me and my friends hang out we normally watch movies and eat a lot. sometimes we bake stuff but thats not fun w/ the guys. we play spin the bottle a lot. we made up our own version of spin the bottle where you spin it and whoever it lands on has to do a dare. go outside, have a snowball fight if you have snow.

i get my bathing suits from delias and alloy. they have mix and match bathing suits that come in alot of colors. you said you didn't want brand name sort of things but thats the only place i can think of. im sure JCPenney would have stuff for under $20. delias might be a little more than that but they have sales all the time. they don't have boardshorts though. im not sure where to get those. i think i've seen some at aeropostale. again another brand name but what can i say thats where i shop so thats all i know.hope i helped a little

don't feel slutyish, its ok. just dont go bragging about it because then you'll get everyone's oppinions and trust me you dont want their oppinions. i also found this out yesterday because i kissed a good friend of mine and a bunch of people walked in on us who knew we weren't going out. just keep it to yourself, maybe only tell your closest friend. if you feel that you have to swallow just take a quick break from making out, swallow, and then go back to what you were doing.

how do you explain what's so appealing about chick-flicks to a guy who really doesn't get it? I would particurarly like to explain why people like the typical best sellers like THE NOTEBOOK, GREASE, DIRT DANICNG, PRETTY WOMAN, TITANIC.. and so on.. cause whenever he asks "why do you like that stupid movie" i say "because i do, its awesome, i enjoy watching it" and he says "thats not good enough, you have to give me a good motivation for hy you like every single one of those movies."

women like love stories because it's normally what they want in a relationship. sometimes girls just like to only deal with girl problems and experiences. for example, i have more guy friends than girl friends and normally we all hang out together but the guys always are loud and are chaotic so occasionally and very rarely we have a girls night out, where we get together and watch chick flicks and bake, all those things guys dont like to do. so i think girls like chick flicks because we like to connect with our own gender. there's been studies done on this. girls are happiest when they're around their own kind.
