I know this is a lil weird, but is there a way to make someone's webcam come on without them knowing about it? Like, for the people with webcams built into their laptops. Im sure theres a way.
If you have physical access to their computer you could easily write and install a program which would allow you to activate their webcam at will. However, you *would* go to jail if they ever found out about it. Since this is very illegal, there is no pre-made program for this that you could easily acquire.

Pretty much any video card will allow you to play Second Life. It has low requirements.
First you need to determine which expansion slots you have available. SiSoftware Sandra will tell you:

You can also tell by finding the model number of your motherboard and searching for the specifications.
You can also tell by opening the computer and looking at the motherboard. In this picture, the top slot is AGP. The bottom slots are both PCI.

AGP slots are almost always that brownish color.

If you have any empty PCI, PCI Express x16, or AGP slots, then you can install a video card. AGP and PCI Express x16 are best. AGP is slightly faster than PCI-e, but PCI-e is more common.
After you figure out the expansion slot to use, just buy a video card for that slot. Any recent card will run Second Life. Below I list some good, low-cost ones. Also, if your computer is not a tower, you may need low-profile card instead.

Hi I am filling out scholarship applications and a lot of them are on Adobe and whenever I copy and paste them to word they get all messed up and it is a big head ache. I wanted to completely remove itunes from my computer because I am having iphone problems.
So I did just that. I didn't just delete it, I went to the uninstall items, where it brings everything up in a list, and I selected itunes from there.
when I downloaded itunes again, everything was just as it was, with all my songs, applications, etc.
How can i delete itunes and get everything else to go with it?
The problem I'm having at the moment is when I connect my iphone, itunes doesn't recognise it, but it recognises my ipod.
I think maybe completely getting rid of itunes and everything on it.. and starting again might help. because i havent been able to use my iphone for 3 months because of this.
So, how can I delete itunes and download it again WITHOUT all my stuff still being on there when I get it back :S

In the above locations, "you" is your current username. You may want to also check the other users, especially "default". The file naming is a bit different between XP and Vista, as I have shown above. You have Vista if the start button in the lower left of your screen is a circle rather than a squareish icon.
You will not be able to see hidden folders by default. To see them, open any folder. In the folder's window, go to tools -> folder options -> "view" tab. In the "advanced settings" box, select "show hidden files and folders" and click ok.
Itunes may also store settings in the registry. Editing the registry is dangerous, so don't try it unless deleting the folders above didn't work. First, uninstall all apple software that you have installed and restart your computer. Then, access the registry, by going to start, run (or press WinKey+R). Type this and press enter:
regedit
In the window which opens, first go to file -> export to backup the registry in case you break something. Then use the edit -> find menu to search for "apple" and "tunes". You must use the edit -> find next option after each search result. Just right click -> delete any entry you find. After you've done this, there shouldn't be any Apple settings left on your computer.

Personally, I would reinstall Windows. You don't know what kind of spyware Circuit City installed to see what their customers were doing to the computer.
To remove the screensaver, right click an empty space on the desktop (anywhere that doesn't have an icon). Choose "personalize". Click "screen saver". Change the screen saver to something else.
If that doesn't work, go to start, run (or press WinKey+R). Type:
msconfig
Go to the "startup" tab. Uncheck everything that you don't need and click ok. Unchecking anything in that tab will never break the computer, so experiment until the screensaver is gone. Don't mess with anything in the other tabs.

I bought a new laptop early last year that had a trail version of Microsoft Office 2007 installed on it. After the trail version ran out I purchased the Product Key online and I purchased the Microsoft Office package containing Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. I have had no trouble with any of these and have used them for months now. The other day I accidentally tried to open Microsoft Publisher and it asked me to enter the Product Key because the trail version had expired and I hadn't bought the version of Microsoft Office containing Publisher. I closed the program and then tried to open Microsoft Word and it was running in the Trail Mode and a message came up saying that the Trail Version had expired and I needed to enter the Product Key. I entered the Product Key and it was accepted but it is still stuck in the trail version. I really really need to use Microsoft Office but I can't because it is stuck in the expired Trail Mode and it says it is accepting my Product Key but it is still in Trail Version. What can I do?

Uninstall every Microsoft Office-related product listed there. Restart your computer.

I am enrolled in a Linguistics class, and we have to type International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) symbols onto our assignments. I found a website where you can copy/paste IPA symbols..unfortunately when I email the microsoft word attachment to my professor, some of the symbols don't show up when she opens the document. I think the only way to go would be to download IPA font onto my computer, but I even tried doing that but got confused...
any ideas? does anyone know of a standard IPA font that I can download onto word, and that can be read from any computer? Thanks
If you can see the IPA characters in Word when you paste them, then the font you are using supports them. I think the problem is that her version of Word is too old. Try saving as "Rich Text Format" instead of "Word Document". Then have her open that file in Wordpad instead of Word.

A nocd will allow you to run the game without inserting the CD. A keygen will generate a valid product key. A key generated with a keygen might not allow you to use official Starcraft multiplayer servers, though.
I can't link you directly to either because they circumvent DRM software, which violates the DMCA. It is not illegal for you to use them, however, as long as you own the game.
The first result for a google search of "starcraft nocd" is safe. A keygen will be harder to find and more dangerous. One may not even exist. Torrent packages of games usually contain everything you need to make them run, but this will certainly be illegal, even if you own the game.

My dr gave me a Rx for a weeks worth of Medrol to help with swelling. Would it make me gain weight, even taking it for a short time? Cookies are small bits of data that sites store on your computer. For example, advicenators.com stores a cookie on your computer which looks something like this:

Okay my Dell Inspiron 6000 has a total of 32.6 GB of space. And only 7.88 amount left for free. I have all my sims 2 games installed, and thats about all i use my computer for so I am not erasing them. Why do you need to delete anything? If you have everything you want already installed, 7.8GB is plenty of room to work with.
