bypassing an old CD key I lost

Question Posted Saturday January 31 2009, 2:02 am

Hello, I have had starcraft for 10 years and have lost the manual and cd case. Is there a way that I can bypass needing one or somehow create another one without having to send the CD to the company?

A nocd will allow you to run the game without inserting the CD. A keygen will generate a valid product key. A key generated with a keygen might not allow you to use official Starcraft multiplayer servers, though.

I can't link you directly to either because they circumvent DRM software, which violates the DMCA. It is not illegal for you to use them, however, as long as you own the game.

The first result for a google search of "starcraft nocd" is safe. A keygen will be harder to find and more dangerous. One may not even exist. Torrent packages of games usually contain everything you need to make them run, but this will certainly be illegal, even if you own the game.
