My boyfriend of a two years is a wonderful, funny, considerate man. (We live together, have lots of mutual friends and interests, and generally get along great.) However, I'm concerned about his past. Many friends have told me that he was a "playboy" before I knew him, and he openly admits to cheating on many past girlfriends. I've even -- ahem -- stumbled on old emails between my boyfriend and his male friends, in which they traded naked photos of women and said generally rude, dirty, abusive things.
This is a man who is always there for me, cooking me dinner and putting my needs first. He has given me no reason to distrust him in all the time we've been together. He swears that, since meeting me, everything is different. We're both nearing 30 and have started to talk about marriage. But knowing what I know about his unsavory past, I am having trouble believing him - and frankly I'm a little creeped out. Am I nuts to consider a life with this man? Is the cliche true - that people can't really change? (link)

PEOPLE can change, but we're not talking about people, we're talking about a man. now, not all men are the same, but a vast majority of them have cheated/are planning to cheat. all men think about sex, thats a given. but that saying is true, especially when it comes to cheating or having a dirty past. if they cheated once, they'll cheat again, most likely. my boyfriend cheated on me once and now i watch him like a hawk to make damn sure it doesnt happen again. talk to him. ask him to prove to you that he won't cheat on you. when he asks how, just say that if he loves you like you think he does, he'll think of a way.
if you still have some doubts, it doesnt hurt to keep a close eye on his emails ;) if you find something in there that really disturbs you, call him out on it. if he gets angry for looking at his accounts, boohoo.
i'm not trying to scare you out of your relationship, but love can blind you. i'm just trying to keep you aware of things that can happen. now, he may actually have looked upon his past and thought "thats bullshit" and actually succeeded in changing his ways. there are some guys out there that can do that, but its a small percentage. like i said, talk to him, keep an eye on his email, and try to keep a communication level up with him as much as possible.

if anyone on here answered this question and told you how to kill yourself, at the least, we'd get booted. someone could go to jail for doing that.
what you need to do is get off the computer and go talk to someone. i don't know if you're asking this because you're doing a project or something or if you actually plan to kill yourself, but if its the second one, i highly recommend talking to a theropist. i'm sure you think that all doctors are quacks or some shit, but you need to understand, there is a reason some people go to school for 8 years to learn about the human brain and why people do what they do, its so they can help people like you who think that their life sucks and ridding yourself off will solve everything. i'm sorry, but it doesnt. there is at least 1 person on the planet, somewhere, who would be absolutely torn apart if you did that; whether its your mom/dad, your bf/gf, your best friend, your cousin, whomever it is, they'll be crushed that you didn't try to fix whatever it is thats bugging you.
what do you think will happen to you if you die? are you a person of belief or doubt? do you think you'll go straight to the ground or is there actually a heaven or hell? don't worry, i'm not going to shove some bullshit religion down your throat.
but please. try to talk to someone. anyone could help you. i know how you're feeling, and i am sorry that things can get this bad in someone's life, but it happens to everyone, trust me. but hurting all the people in your life is no way to deal with anything. look into the future a few years; do you still see yourself being suicidal? or do you think things will get better if you give them time, maybe? maybe not.
i'm not going to tell you how to kill yourself. i'm not that evil of a person. and if you've read my response this far, i'm sorry i couldn't give you the answer you were hoping for. again, i know exactly how you feel. and even if you doubt i do, trust me, i do. its gonna hurt, no matter how you do it. its gonna hurt if you stay alive, and stay strong. life won't turn itself upside down just to keep one poor soul from dying, but you can try to change it, or just choose to ignore it. a boy in my community hung himself recently and even kids that didn't know him are depressed. everyone is. don't worry, it'll all turn out all right in the end.

My boyfriend says we have a normal relationship. I try to tell him it's not. He expects me to tell him everyone I pass in the hall way at work, what they say and send him pictures. If they come in my office he says they only made an excuse to come and see me that things should be controlled differently and men should not be able to just walk in my office. He takes these things out on me as well. Last Friday my boss called me in his office because he was about to leave for the day. When the boyfriend called I wasn't at my desk. he called and left vmails that were rude and ugly and when i called him back and explained he Said "you were in the office w/ 2 men?" "What else happened" Would you feel as if he is suggesting that something un professional could have happened by saying something like that? I'm at wits end and he seems to think he is doing no wrong. uh, no. this is REALLY not normal. its good you know this isn't normal. he does not have a right to know who you talk to and pass in the hallway. you shouldnt have to tell him any of this. if you dont break it off soon, it could turn really ugly. what i would do is cut off all contact possible. or dump him. if he gets upset about it and maybe a little violent, stay at a close friend's house for a while, and tell the people at your work so if he shows up there they'll take care of him.

there are some exercizes that are said to improve the shape. i cant remember what the product is called but it was advertised on television a few times. try to google "breast shaper" or something like that and see what pops up. also, victoria's secret have some really good bras that improve shape and size. pushups help. i'm on the small side, as well, and push up bras make me look and feel awesome :)

I'm 13(m) and I would consider myself pretty strong(for physical labor if I'm aloud to do that kind of stuff with child labor laws). I want to get about $10 a week or more. What can I do? what i did when i was your age was walk dogs and babysit, but i'm a girl. another kid in my neighborhood mowed lawns daily and got paid pretty well. he now has his own lawn mowing service advertised around the neighborhood. start knocking on doors and asking people if they have any chores around the yard you could get done. a good hourly wage for something like this is about 5 dollars an hour. overtime, while you're still getting known about, you can raise it if you feel you need to.
getting an actual job when you're 13, like the person below me said, is very difficult. i'm not aware of any places that hire that young.

I met this guy a few days ago, Joey. we have a lot in common. He's my friend's ex, Lucy. He has a girlfriend. I had a dream that we were outside of our schools and we ran up to each other and I jumped on him and we were just staring at each other and our faces were hella close and we were both smiling and I remember feeling butterflies in my stomach. it means you're probably developing feelings for him, but you don't know how lucy will take it, since they were ex's. but you said he has a girlfriend, so it may be a good idea to just stay friends for now. and maybe if you two DO develope a relationship, pick the right time to tell lucy. she'll be mad but in the end, if she's your true friend, she'll only want your happiness.

i'll try to answer this to the best of my ability. see, i don't fight with either of my parents that much so i'm not good with these kinds of questions.
now try to think about what you and your dad fight about. is it about school? freedom? money? if so, even if whatever you're screaming about may not be your fault, try your best to fix it. with parents, they wont admit they're wrong when they are, and thats what usually starts a fight with my parents. the only thing you can do is smile and nod, no matter how hard it is. if he's yelling at you because you're not getting as good of a grade as you could or something that you actually DID do wrong, then promise to fix it and try harder.
when i do this, its like a cat laying on its back in front of another, bigger cat. the cat is basically saying "you are boss, i wont undermine your authority." and this is what you need to say to your parents through body language and the way you talk to them. trying to fight and prove a point to them does absolutely NO GOOD AT ALL, and even thought admitting you're wrong and falling under they're rules is really hard, you'll find that it fixes a lot of things.

no matter if his mom is annoying or not, he shouldnt be saying stuff like that to her. your mom is right, if he does this to the women in his household, if you guys stay together, he'll probably end up talking to you like that, as well. talk to him and tell him this bugs you and that he needs to be more patient. she is his mom, anyway.

its a weird mindset for some people, to actually enjoy the thought or action of pain being inflicted upon them. most people even start contributing into self-mutilation to enjoy the pain.
hopefully you don't start doing that, but its not exactly weird in this day and age for someone to enjoy pain. i enjoy some types of pains, and so do most of my friends. no one can explain why anyone would be like that, they just are. so don't worry. you're not sick or anything. :)

ok i am 22 and been with my fair share of men sexually and maybe more then needed. i have never had a guy that can last over a hour which is fine with me because that is about my cut off as well lol. i recently got together with a friend from work who is 18 and i was figuring you know being that young would be a 30 minute go and be done. 3 hours later he had still not "got off" and i just had to give up lol is this normal because maybe ive just always been with guys that have no clue what they are doing but who knows. i really dont see this being normal especially for a 18 year old. to me, it sounds as if you just want to. which isn't bad, all 17 year olds want to. and when they say they don't, they're LYING. its good you're coming into touch with your feelings and urges, but since you don't have anyone to do it with, then just wait for mr. right to come along. but that doesn't mean that the first guy who you go out with now, you just jump into bed with. no, you date around, see who you like, who you would enjoy losing your virginity to, and then when it feels right, then have fun. and be sure to STAY SAFE. being a 17 year old virgin isn't the worst thing in the world. :)

17 f. Hey guys so. Me and my best friend we go to a different high school and every since we were in the 6th grade we vowed to go together to prom. So I had this BF who I really cared about and he happens to go to her school. He said he was going to take me. We had everything set when we got into this huge fight and he said a lot of hurt things to me. Like Ex. "I was always embarrased to be seen by you" "you're a who*re " and a lot of other things. So basically he also told me that he wasn't going to take me to prom he was going to take another girl. And he said "I bet you're going to look ridiculous that day" so now I don't know if I should go to their prom. My friend already got me someone to take me and everything. I kind of want to go to show him what he lost. And that day I'm planning on looking gorgeous. He knew how important it was for me and my bff to go together. it depends on the age, really. in preschool-kindergarten, boys will pinch a girl, pull her hair, push her down, etc to get her attention. in elementary school, this sometimes is still the case, but mostly the boys just chase the girls on the playground or make fun of them. in middle school, boys start flirting a little bit, but mostly don't really start talking to the girls like a man until 7-8th grade. then usually if they like you or want to get to know you, they'll talk to you. i don't really know in this case, unless he's a super pussy. boys that refuse to talk to a girl but still stare them down all the time means either they know you like them and they're trying to get a better glimpse of this person that likes them, or they like you but they're shy. but if you try to talk to him and he STILL doesn't open up, like i said, i probably wouldn't even bother if i were you.

i would think throwing up. laxatives just make you have to go to the bathroom before you're ready to. i know there might be some colon damage there, but with throwing up, your body can't absorb the nutrients from food and it makes you weak and fragile.

find some aspect about your friends that you don't have, but would love to. like, the next time someone says "god, you're so gorgeous" you could respond "are you kidding? my hair is impossible. you're so lucky to have straight hair" or something like that. i know how you feel with the uncomfort you get out of compliments, so try what i said and it'll stop "bugging" you. :)

There's something wrong with me. I always cry, just yesterday a guy yelled at me and told me to shut up and I cried to hard I had to leave the room. I hate large crowds, and feel uncomfortable always. I have mood swings, but not like one minute to the next, more like one day I feel like I'm on top of the world- next I can barely get out of bed. Mostly though, I have to modivate myself to get out of bed thinking of reasons to go to school. I've tried thinking of happy thoughts, I've tried setting goals of happiness to achieve and nothing is working. I try so hard to be happy, and I never seem to be. I always ache, and I'm always tired. Even if I went to bed early. Going to bed anyway is impossible because my brain never shuts off. I can drive myself insane hearing the same thought go over and over in my head. I listen to my iPod constantly, always have a headache because I don't like communication.
I also have thoughts... But not what I think is suicidal thoughts more of thoughts like if I died no one would miss me and tht I'm not needed.

yeah, what you're going through is pretty normal. you're sixteen, but not only that, you're a sixteen year old FEMALE. girls evidently have way more hormonal problems than boys, especially during teenage years. it can lead to depression and bipolar disorder. and you sound very depressed. have your mom talk to your doctor about antidepressants, or have her take you to a counselor. they'll talk to you, and if they think that you should be put on meds, they'll talk to your mom and your doctor. now, keep in mind that antidepressants do not make you happy. they just make chemicals in your brain that cause euphoria and depression to even out, so that you'll function more normally.
and don't fret! you're most definitely not the only one going through this. i've been acting like that for almost 3-4 years, and now i'm seeing a counselor for it. it actually does help to have someone to talk to on occasion that doesnt judge.

homicide, in general, just means murder or to murder. suicide is murdering of one's self, and to commit a homicide means to take another person's life.
