i know this is the dumbest question ever. but my and my boyfreind are going on being together a month. do we celebrate by the date (it was september 16th btw, which will be four weeks on tuesday) or do we celebrate it by the day of hte week? i have no idea wether i should do somehting for him on tuesday, or wait until the 16th? I don't think one month anniversaries call for special celebration. After all, it IS only just one month. Maybe you could sweetly remind him that it's been a month and perhaps he'll be the one to suggest a date.

I was using my other phone line and I wanted to pretend I was calling someone. So i thought i dialed the same number as that line i did that about 4 times and hung up. I know it was stupid. The person called back I apologized and explained I dialed the wrong number. I am scared will they be able to find me? (link)

If the person looked up your number in the phone book they probably could find you, but I wouldn't worry about it. The person isn't going to try to find you because you dialed their number and hung up multiple times. You have nothing to worry about, but I wouldn't reccomend doing that again. It's annoying.

Ok I have a friend and he 'ACCENDENTLY' hit a guy in the head with a golfball. His head was bleeding terrable and I want to get my friend out of trouble because he already has like 15 more days in detention!! But anyway there are these girls that are preps thats ratting out on him so me and my friends made up a story that he was with us. I don't want my friend suspended and I really want to help him but don't know how. Please Help and sorry iff this sounds weird but NO smartass answerz! (link)

Honestly, you're only hurting your friend more by trying to get him out of trouble by lying. You're ruining your own credibility by making up stories about it as well. If your friend really did do what he supposedly did, he should get punished for it. Well, if he did it on purpose he should get punished for it. Just because some girls decided to be tattletails isn't really any reason for dishonesty... I guarantee it if you were older than you are now, you'd regret it if your lie got found out. In my own defense, I don't think those girls had any right to go and nark on anyone just because they could. There's something to be said for minding one's own business.

I'm horribly apprehensive about my up soming Bat Mitzvah!! I have prepared a very long speech about what i learned in hebrew school. Thats not what im nervous about though. I'm nervous about the hebrew reading (which is actually written in transliteration). I get nervous and start shaking. Sometimes I get so nervous that I talk really fast and slur my words. I don't want to mess up a day that is all about me!! How can I gain some CONFIDENCE in myself!! I'm so gunna screw up!! (link)

What I suggest is for you to practice what you have to read in front of an audience so that you can get a feel for speaking in front of people. I took an entire course in Public Speaking and that was one of the things that helped me do really well on my speeches. Try to practice at least once a week if you can manage that. It'll get easier to do with more practice. Try your hardest not to get frustrated if you mess up a word or two. Just take a deep breath and keep on going. If you do end up messing up on something, it's not like you'll be the first who's ever done it.. and if you do decide to practice your readings, the chances of you messing up something major aren't very good.

ok there is this guy zach(13/m) in seventh grade and im in eighth (13/f) and we hug like a hundred times a day and wait for each other when we have class together and i want to ask him out but his older brother(14/m) likes me and i cant stand him he never shuts up! i dont know what zach will think of me asking him out when i know his bro likes me what do i do? I know you probably won't like this answer, but this is the way to go if you want to avoid all the drama. Right now, since you're only in junior high, I think you should take a step back and not have anything more than a friendship with the kid whose brother likes you. It's not really right to come between brothers like that... because it's going to tear them apart even if they weren't very close to begin with.

Okay so i've gotten a few emails recently from different people and one of those mailbot things (the ones that tell you your message cant be delivered) well...there is always some strange email that i've never seen before...the mailbots tell me that my message cant be delivered to so and so and i dont even know who they are! and i also just today got an email from some carl flemons. I dont know him but his message said this "I apologize for this automatic reply to your email.

I used to get messages like that in my box all the time. I'm not sure if it was spam or if it was an email hacker, but it stopped after I changed my password to something harder to guess.

How far can you drive a car after the empty light comes on? I have a rental car that I am not suppose to refule. I have 1/8 of a tank and have 40+ miles to go today. (link)

Depending on what kind of gas mileage you get, you can usually get about 30 miles when your gas light comes on... You might want to call the rental company and explain your situation. It might be best just to buy maybe a half tank of gas just so you don't get stranded somewhere.

My friend is having this huge birthday party! Her uncle owns the house in laguna beach and its gonna be a two day party. I've been her friend only for like 6 months but we're pretty close. My birthday was last week and i invited her and she came. I dont get y she wont invite me!! AT least 50 people are going so dont say she didnt have enough room in her 3 stretch limos. (link)

I don't know your friend, so I can't say for sure, but maybe she could only invite a certain number of people to her uncle's house. It's ONE party that you didn't get invited to. Just let this one go. Get her a gift or something and tell her that you hope she has a happy birthday. I definatly see your point on this one.. because she came to your birthday party and it's only polite to return the invitation.... You can't really do anything to get yourself invited, but if you act like the bigger person in the situation, maybe she'll realize that not inviting you wasn't really very nice.

Well, I LOVE middle school, but...its not the greatest. I'm not ugly, I've been out with a couple diff. guys the last few years, and I'm friends with regular/kinda popular/popular people. Although I'm not popular, and I'm not a geek. I have a feeling this year more guys are noticing me 'cause I've gone through some "look changes" as my friends call it, but I've heard that everyone has more fun/life gets better in High School.
I heard most guys get more mature, get done with puberty, etc, and girls get prettier, get nicer, get more mature, etc. Is it true? Does your life really get better in High School?
I'm just wondering. This question is really for anyone who's ever been trough public High School & Middle School. Thanks, everyone!

Your question reminds me so much of myself when I was in 8th grade.. it's almost scary. I'm sure you already know this, but middle school sucks. It's when everyone's either going through puberty or waiting for it to start. The things you've heard about high school are pretty much true, but some people never stop being bitchy and immature. I'm a junior at a public high school, so I concider myself a good person to advise you about this.... Once they hit high school, people do a lot of maturing. Guys grow up and stop acting like little kids and most girls realize that being "poplular" isn't really what's most important. As for getting prettier, I don't know about that.. some people are just ugly.... but people do get to be more understanding with time. Once you learn more about life, that's when you start to be more accepting of people that aren't exactly the same as you. It's not an overnight thing, but it does happen. Middle school is the most ackward time of a person's life, no doubt. I wouldn't go back there for anything in the world.

ok im 14 and i was curious to see what it was like to smoke a ciggaret. And so i tried one and my parents found out, now they dont trust me to be home alonr cause they think i will try it again and i told them that i didnt like it and it wont happen again. plus alot of my friends do it so i wanted to see what was so cool about it. There isn't really anything you can do now but wait and try to earn your parents' trust back by being on good behavior. It sucks that you got caught and are now in trouble, but it happens. At least you know now that it's not worth it to do it again... Just make sure you do well in school and maybe when report cards come out you can use good grades as a bargianing tool. But honestly, just because your friends do it, isn't a reason to. If they jumped in front of a moving semi, would you do it?

Alright, I usually never do anything with my hair but wear it in pig tails, pony tails, straightened, or just flat. But tomorrow I was thinking about wearing a messy bun.
I'm not sure how to do it perfect, because I've tried just putting my hair in a regular bun and messing with it a bit to give it the "messy" look, is there something more to it? Am I not doing it right? Lol, please help. Thanks.

What I do is put my hair in a semi-high ponytail and then scrunch it up into the form of a bun. I kinda do it so that there are little chunks that stick out of where the rubber band is. It looks better that way.

Okay, I was wondering. If I have a circle graph with a percent, how would I make that a regualer number? For example, I have 45% of students work at a resteraunt. How would I make that a number not a percent? Because, I have the total number. I just need to find out what part of the whole that is. Do you know what I mean? I dont need answers I just want to know how to convert a circle graph percent to a whole number. (link)

You just take your whole number multiplied by 0.45. The answer to the problem really has nothing at all to do with the graph, the graph is more of just a visual aid tool.

So I'm a 17 year old girl and my boyfriend is a wee bit older. He's 25.
We've been going out for about a month and he's a great guy to me - he buys everything (not just dinner, like he asks if there's anything I want in stores etc.), he opens doors, he always says the kindest things to me, and yes he's great in the bedroom.
But I've just been wondering lately if this is the best time for me to date someone his age. He's so perfect but it's kind of difficult when I get the weird looks from friends and classmates about dating an older guy. He hasn't met my friends yet and I don't even know if his friends know about me. The whole age thing is just kind of throwing me for a loop.
So, do you think I should keep pursuing this relationship with the chance of getting hurt or just let it go for now with such big differences?
P.S. Remember that I'm only a senior in high school, still dealing with stuff like homecoming and prom. He's already out in the working world...it's a tough choice... (link)

I know you're probably not going to like the advice that I'm about to give you, but here it is:
I think you should maybe take a break from seeing this guy, at least until you finish high school. Like you said, you're still in the world where what dress you wear to prom is the most important thing on your mind.. and he's got a job and probably his own place, and probably is fully independent. I've dated guys that age before, and it never ususally ends the way I want it to.... You and your boyfriend are at different phases in your life, and they're not really ones that go together very well. What I advise you to do is to take a break, like I said before, and maybe get back together once you've graduated from high school. Because if you both really want to only be with each other.. the 5 month wait won't make much of a difference in the long run.

Homecoming is just a dance, basicly. Some schools do "homecoming week" activities to get everyone involved. There's ususally a home football game on the night before the dance.. but that depends on the school you go to. Homecoming isn't as formal as Prom or something like that, but most girls wear a dress or a pantsuit and the guys ususally wear dress pants, nice shirts and sometimes ties. Homecoming is definatly a fun time (my homecoming was yesterday), but it's not something you should get really stressed about.

Maybe you should take a little bit of a break from this guy.... the wierd feelings eventually go away. That's happened to me once or twice and I've found that the best way to get over the odd-ness is to just hang out with some new people for awhile. After about a month or so, you should have a better feeling about the situation. You're kinda lucky you don't have romantic feelings towards him... because that would make things 10 times worse. Hope I helped.

I would go out with a guy, we would break up, and then he would go out with my friend. it hurt me a lot, but im over it now. You have to know how your friend feels about this before you decide to date her ex or not to date her ex. If your friend is okay with it, I mean, REALLY okay with it and not just saying she is so that you can have what you want, I say go for it. If there's any doubt in your mind about it, you shouldn't. Look at it this way, if you dated a guy and then you broke up, wouldn't it hurt you to see that guy with someone else that's close to you? Bringing your friend's self esteem down isn't a thing you probably want on your shoulders.

Well.... this is kind of an odd question, but I think if you don't like the way her friends treat you, you should make some kind of an effort to hang out with just her. Like saying... "Maybe we could go see a movie and go shopping with just the two of us" or something to that effect.

okay I don't mind if I sound like an idiot. I need an answer.
My computer got a little screwed up, whether it was a virus or I did something either way I had to erase everything. Actually, it didn't do what it was supposed to do since everything is the same except for the fact that everything is huge. like my web browser, font and my all my icons are really big. I know there is a way to make them smaller but I haven't done it for so long I can't figure out how to do it. I'm sure its easy but i'll be damned if I can remember how to do it.
so yeah... anyone know what I'm talking about and care to help me out?

What you do is go to the "View" menu that should be a the top of your screen, right under where the name of the webpage is, and click the "text size" menu. From there, you should be able to set the text to a size that you like better.

What I suggest is to ask her why she seems to be your friend some times and not at others. It could be caused by a number of things. Depending on what kind of a response you get from that.. it might have a number of different outcomes. Message me back with what she says when you ask her, I should be able to help you better then. :)
