My dad lives in florida. He moved down there a few months ago and took my brother with him. Me and him have been trying to get my mom to let me move down there with him but my mom's stubborn and selfish and would rather I stay here and be completly unhappy. I've tried talking to her face to face but she always breaks down in tears which I can't stand because it makes me feel guilty for wanting to be happy. So, I was talking to my dad over face book. I told him how mad I was at my stepdad for turning my brothers old room (I had fixed it up into a play room for my little sisters and put a lot of time into it) into his office. Well, my stepdad has a face book account too and he has added me to his "friends" list. My dad just called me and told me he got onto my account and read that message. Well, my stepdad told my mom and my mom emailed my dad and accused him of "brainwashing me" and "trying to turn me against her". I am seriously po'd. He had no reason to even suspect I was planning on moving down there due to my plan on acting fine and sucking up to my mom until I turn 16 and then breaking the news to her. I already didn't like the guy due to other things he's done, such as telling my dad that he could make sure us kids never got to see their dad again. I hate him. I don't hate anyone ever, but I really hate him. My mom ditches us kids at home ALL THE TIME to go on his motorcycle and they're always gone for hours. My dad is SUCH a better parent...and person for that matter. Plus the fact that my mom never even comes to ME whenever something like this happens and the subject of moving comes up. you see texting and IMing are always easyer beacuase they dont have the other person looking at them and having a direct responce with face expressions and body language. and that makes some people freak. hes just not comfortable talking to you in person. what i would try doing is when he starts texting you say oh i cant talk to long but we can tomorrow in school ya? so that way he can talk to you in school it might take a while but it can work!
