about a couple weeks ago i got a sour or blister thing in my mouth. now a couple days ago i got another one on the right side of my tongue. it hurts a lot. i read something about herpes online and i really think its herpes. ive only gave my boyfriend head once with a condom and once without a condom. im really scared. do you think i have herpes? and if so, how can i treat it or make the pain go away?? please help (link)

It definitely could be herpes, and it could not be.
Basic things to consider, however, are did he have any sores or bumps on his penis during oral sex? If he did, and even if he didn't, please consult a doctor and DO NOT DELAY.

If you live in an area where there is NOT a plannedparenthood, please look in your phonebook for a Health District, and call them and ask for the location of a STD prevention or test site.
If you don't have a cell phone on which you can make a private call, or SOMETHING, write down the number and carry it in your wallet until you can use a friends cell or whatever.
Really, though, darlin, it's important that you get tested and make sure this doesn't happen again.

at my school we have to wear collared shirt, with only 2 buttons unbuttoned. we can wear jeans or skirts, but the skirts have to be longer than 2 inches above our knees. i like to dress originally, and cant stand the thought of going to school looking exactly like everyone else. also i live on an island, so whenever you buy a shirt someone else in your school probably bought it too... and with this collared shirt rule, like 9 or 10 people end up with the exact same shirt. does anyone have any suggestions for interesting ways to make my outfits less boring? If you stray from your island (which I'm going to assume you do regularly, because not many islands have regular deliveries of basic necessities) try to find a vintage shop, thrift shop, or just a funky, hole in the wall type of place. That type of atmosphere is great for finding funky, eclectic jewelry, scarves, hats, shoes, and pretty much anything else. If you're on a budget, or know that that probably isn't an option for you, try to find a colorful scarf around where you are now. Tying that in your hair, around your neck, on your wrist, is pretty much guaranteed to start some kind of fad.
If you're artistically gifted, (actually, you don't even have to be) try stenciling a cool design on a messenger bag or your backpack for something original and very "you". If you go to a library or book store, they should have numerous books on crafts for clothes and accessories that you can definitely make on a budget. And if you don't have a budget, you'll have more money for additional crafts!

No, there's nothing wrong at all with masturbation.
Everyone, (and I mean everyone) does it/has done it/will do it at one point in their life. Don't be ashamed or feel guilty, many a seasoned woman or two will tell you that you can please yourself better than any one can. =)
Be proud that you can talk about it (even anonymously, even on an advice website) because there are really people out there who act as though it's an inferior thing to do. It's not, and um. Based on experience, guys respect you more if you're open about it. Well, respect... or just know that you're a sexual person and want in on that action.
Masturbation is a very healthy way to learn about your own sexual function. You shouldn't try to stop it, really. If your parents feel that a divorce is what's best for both of them, and you (and i guarantee you're a chief concern), then that's probably what's best. They're the ones who pay the bills and put food on the table, i presume, so they know more about the economics of your household. In short, it's just one of those things you're going to have to come to terms with. Talk with both your parents, and find out why, but don't outright try to stop it. If you did manage to reverse the decision somehow, it would most likely end up more unhealthy for both your parents and you than if you just let it happen. Just know that it's definitely not your fault (it's pretty common to blame yourself, but it's always unfounded) and that this is just a natural product of how your parents each function emotionally. It's going to be a big change, but it's something you should embrace and adapt to, not fight.

No offence, but it's none of your business who he dates. Even if you can't stand her, she's HIS girlfriend, not yours. If you don't want to hang out with her, ask him if you guys can have your own alone time. Eventually, he'll figure out that she's not so great, but in the meantime, it's none of your business who he likes or why he likes them.

Speaking from experience, you won't need tons of new clothes in case your luggage is lost. When I went to Rome last year, our suitcases were lost but returned within a day. All you need is a t-shirt and a pair of clean underwear so that you feel somewhat fresh. If you're looking for a cheap shirt or something of that nature, try a GAP. Gap is one of my very favorite stores in the world, and you'll be able to find a $10 t-shirt super easily.
If this is one of your first trips out of the country, remember to take a card of your hotel when you leave for shopping or sightseeing. In case you get lost, you know the hotel's name and address to get back to it safely.

Firstly, congrats on the boarding school. I've always wanted to go to one, but my parents won't let me. haha.
Secondly, tell your friends the truth first of all, but let them know that it's not an easy thing for you either, but that you'll try your hardest to write and stay in communication with them.
Unfortunately, and I speak from personal experience (and you probably know this as well) it's difficult to stay in touch or maintain a good friendship when you aren't around each other all the time. That isn't necessarily something to tell them (and I'm certainly not trying to make you feel any worse about the situation) but keep that in mind, but stay upbeat. Sending an email every once in a while will be really appreciated.

During the summer look for a community theater. There might be more than Stadium Theater, but if there aren't, look for summer camps online or go to your school counselor and ask them if they know of any.

Okay, I know you don't want to do something in your school, but that's the FIRST PLACE TO START. Start with your school during school time. Be involved in the school plays and join something like choir. Even if you can't sing very well, work on it. Acting involves a lot of singing, dancing, etc. I would know. Really, really, really trust me when I say not to do it yourself. It's unhealthy, you could do something wrong and hurt yourself, and your parents could find out and you'd be in more trouble than when you started.
Wait until you're older. I know it sounds dumb, but just because your friends have it doesn't mean you need it. In 10 years, will it matter? Wait. And don't do it yourself.

While there's no sure way to make your hair appear longer, try taking only a section of hair in the middle/top of your head and pulling it back. Ponytails or half-tails are also great. Just kind of mess around and see what you like.

I've been down that road a million times. A lot of the time, you just have to kind of wait it out. Good writing isn't forced, you don't always write because you want to. Sometimes you write because you have to get an emotion or feeling out. So first, wait.
Then, go on a walk and pick up on small things. People, their smiles, trees, nature, people mingling with nature. And then read a little. Other people's writing can be great inspiration also.

Here’s the thing I’ve never been kissed (15/f), but there’s a guy I like so if I get a chance to kiss him I want to really impress him. And I don’t really even know the basics. I know many people say it’s good to just “go with the flow” and that it will happen naturally, but I’ve also heard many people talking about their first kiss and how bad it was and everything and how the other person didn’t like it at all. And I know it will really mater to him, because he is really hot (can get any girl he wants, but is not a player) and is a perfectionist, so if it goes wrong I will make a really bad impression and might never get a second chance. Plus he is two years older so I suppose he’s had a lot of experience. I really need someone to walk me trough everything. There are a few key things to remember about kissing.
1. No one wants their face covered in drool. Keep it neat and tidy. Especially a first kiss.
2. Unlike movies always show, open mouths are annoying. Keep your mouth comfortably open, but don't have it open so much you're almost biting his nose.
3. A little tongue is nice, but be warned: tongue feels super weird at first. You kind of get used to it, but it's weird weird weird feeling.
4. A tiny nibble on his lower lip is really hot. Most guys like that a lot.
5. TILT YOUR HEAD. I know it sounds way cliched, but if you don't, you're in for an awkward kissing moment. Just slightly, you don't have to be looking at him sideways, but it's deffinitely a plus to not be slammed face to face.
And then, go with the flow. It's not that difficult. Everyone's different, everyone likes different things, he may have a few tricks up his sleeve. And if he does, learn from them. A first kiss is really an educational thing. You learn a lot about what you like from it.

Hey. Today is my friend's b-day. He's turning 16, and we've been friends for about 12 or so years. (yeah, it's a lot lol) Well, I kind of don't know what to get him. I'm not sure what he likes. I think that sounds like a really cute idea for a present.
Also, if you remember a toy he used to like and can find one like it, give that to him as well. For really close friends, a gift basket is nice, especially for a monumental birthday like a 16 or 13 or something. Put together stuff he might like, like chocolate, that picture, a toy that will bring back memories, and stuff like that.
