maria2653 answered Sunday May 15 2005, 12:47 pm: read poem books. watch old movies. maybe listen to classical music. metitating might help. you can also just go to a feild where there is no one but you and just lay in the grass and watch the sky either at night watching the stars or in the day watching clouds. bring a note book to write when you think of something good. x_mystery answered Sunday May 15 2005, 12:46 pm: I write poems, also. I find a thing that really inspires me when I'm down in a writing rut sometimes, is to take pictures. Get a camera, and go outside and take pictures of anything and everything. Then get them developed, and look at them and a lot of the time, you'll get an idea to write! Hope I helped! ♥ [ x_mystery's advice column | Ask x_mystery A Question ]
DistilledAnachronism answered Sunday May 15 2005, 3:59 am: I am undergoing the same EXACT problem. Hence, that is why I am on this site in the first place.
But anyways, this kind of thing sucks, but writers blocks come and go, honestly. Sometimes you'll feel that you can't stop writing, and other times you want to write but nothing turns out like you planned. It's awful but it will go away.
danceonme answered Saturday May 14 2005, 6:13 pm: I've been down that road a million times. A lot of the time, you just have to kind of wait it out. Good writing isn't forced, you don't always write because you want to. Sometimes you write because you have to get an emotion or feeling out. So first, wait.
Then, go on a walk and pick up on small things. People, their smiles, trees, nature, people mingling with nature. And then read a little. Other people's writing can be great inspiration also.

WITHOUT YOU I’D DIE
The night was dreary and the rain came down
She said "Lets go for a ride away from town"
All thru the ride she had nothing to say
It was almost as if something stood in her way
Then suddenly it came, out of the blue
"My parents said I have to break up w/ u"
"I'm sorry" she said.. "I cant pretend"
"My parents said our love must end"
She took off his ring* as tears came from his eyes
At the same time, the fear of losing her began to arise
With tears threatening to fall, he held them back
As he unconsciously parked the car* on a railroad track
He wrote something on a piece of paper
He held her hand and said "Read it later"
He alwayz wished they would never part
He said in a sad voice, "You just broke my heart"
She opened the door and walked out into the rain
Thats when she saw the lights of the train
Realizing too late what she had sighted
With a blink of an eye, metal collided
All she could see was blood running red
And someone saying, "I'm sorry..He's dead"
The ambulance sounded like an agony cry
Then she read the paper and it said "Without you, I'd die"
JENNY
Jenny was so happy about the house they had found.
For once in her life it was on the right side of town.
She unpacked her things with such great ease.
As she watched her new curtains blow in the breeze.
How wonderful it was to have her own room.
School would be starting; she'd have friends over soon.
There'd be sleep-overs, and parties; she was so happy
It's just the way she wanted her life to be.
On the first day of school, everything went great.
She made new friends and even got a date!
She thought, "I want to be popular and I'm going to be,
Because I just got a date with the star of the team!"
To be known in this school you had to have a clout,
And datiing this guy would sure help her out.
There was only one problem stopping her fate.
Her parents had said she was too young to date.
"Well, I just won't tell them the entire truth.
They won't know the difference; what's there to lose?"
Jenny asked to stay with her friends that night.
Her parents frowned but said, "All right."
Excited, she got ready for the big event
But as she rushed around like she had no sense,
She began to feel guilty about all the lies,
But what's a pizza, a party, and a moonlight ride?
Well the pizza was good, and the party was great,
But the moonlight ride would have to wait.
For Jeff was half drunk by this time.
She felt someone remove her from the twisted rubble,
And heard, call an ambulance!
These kids are in trouble!
Voices she heard...a few words at best.
But she knew there were two cars
involved in the wreck.
Then wondered to herself if Jeff was all right,
And if the people in the other car was alive.
She awoke in the hospital to faces so sad.
"You've been in a wreck and it looks pretty bad."
These voices echoed inside her head,
As they gently told her that Jeff was dead.
They said "Jenny, we've done all we can do.
But it looks as if we'll lose you too."
"But the people in the other car!? "Jenny cried.
"We're sorry, Jenny, they also died."
Jenny prayed, "God, forgive me for what I've done
I only wanted to have just one night of fun."
"Tell those people's family, I've made their lives dim,
And wish I could return their families to them."
"Tell Mom and Dad I'm sorry I lied,
And that it's my fault so many have died.
Oh, nurse, won't you please tell them that for me?"
The nurse just stood there-she never agreed.
But took Jenny's hand with tears in her eyes.
And a few moments later Jenny died.
A man asked the nurse,
"Why didn't you do your best?"
To bid that girl her one last request?"
She looked at the man with eyes so sad.
"Because the people in the other car
were her mom and dad."
I know that this was pretty long, but It inspired me to change a few things in my life...hope it worked for you... mAdDiE 15/f [ duckyfernanda's advice column | Ask duckyfernanda A Question ]
