well an easier way to fix that problem, instead of downloading the program, is to save your file as a "rich text" because that will open on pretty much any word prossing document.

If you have an email account and can check it from school, send yourself the document, get it from your email and print it at school.

Hope I helped!

I don't think you have to download anything. I had Microsoft works instead of Word. All you need to do is when you open the file, click down below and selsct all word files...I didn't explain that well, wait...when you put the floppy in and open the file, at the bottom it says what kind of file, its either below or above file name. It will say file type. Click on the little button thing and select "All Word Files" and you should be done. And if for some reason that doesn't work, then I'm sorry I couldn't help you. But I hope I helped.
MAd love,
Victoria

I have an older computer so I have Microsoft Works also and you don't even need to download Microsoft Word. You can just save your essay to Wordpad (every computer has Wordpad) and it should work that way. You can just go to Microsoft's website, [Link](Mouse over link to see full location), and search for it on there.

You could do something easier-
Just email it to yourself and access your email from one of the school's computers. (don't attach your essay to the email, just copy and paste it directly)

You don't even need Word on your PC to use Works. The easiest thing to do is work in whatever word processing program you use at home, copy and paste when you're completely finished, and save it as a file in notepad. Open the file on your school's computer and do the same thing when you're done working at school. This is the easiest way to avoid compatibility problems when working with different text programs.
