Bolt carrier group for sale? Ok, so here is a strange question for you: I asked my brother what he most wanted for his birthday and he said just that: "A bolt carrier group would be nice." Now here is the problem: I don't know what that is. Yes, I searched it on google, yes I found a picture in image search, and no, even looking at it I have no idea in the world where you would buy one or what exactly it is. Anyone know what I should do?

I know it's some sort of accessory for rifles or something along that line. But really I would just google it and click the shopping tab. ]
Honestly I'm not entirely sure what it is either but I did some research of my own and some places you could get them is a rifle shop apparently but I think your best bet is to go on eBay.
Sorry if I couldn't be of much help and hope all works out :) ]
It sounds like your brother is either building a semi-automatic rifle or repairing or upgrading one he has. Before you can purchase what he is looking for you need to know what type of weapon it is for as one size does not fit all.
Once you have this information it is a simple matter of going online or a guns store to make the purchase. Be aware that these items do not come cheap. depending on the type of rifle he has the cost start in the $200 and up bracket. ]
The bolt carrier group is the part of a gun that forces expanding gases to push the bullet down the barrel and out the muzzle. The firing pin is typically part of the bolt group. However, some firearms, such as a break-open shotgun, simply have a firing pin and not a bolt group. Other guns like bolt-action rifles, semi-automatic rifles, and automatic rifles have bolt groups that are a moving assembly of parts.Just ask him exactly what kind of bolt carrier group he needs, and you should surely be able to find one in a gun store, or online at Amazon.com or Ebay.com ]
