What is the reason a girl cannot wear a two piece bathing suit in gym clas is it because it is impractical when practicing swimming? Does a girls stomach distract the boys in the class or something? It is funny because boys are allowed to wear their swim trunks and nothing else

It's impractical, it can slide off, and it's also unnecessarily sexualizing, but I think that's the least of the problems.
Do you see professional competitive swimmers wearing bikinis? Of course not, because a bikini is not sportswear for swimming - it's lingerie you wear on the beach.
You also probably wouldn't be allowed to wear a top hat while playing soccer, or Mickey Mouse costume while playing volleyball.
There might be some two piece swimsuits that are effective for swim lessons, but since the vast majority would not be, it's simpler for a school or other organization to ban them outright. ]
I think it's because they can easily slide off. Most girls who wear bikinis is just to lay around, not do actual swimming. Just pretty much get in the water, maybe swim a little bit, but most don't do actual swimming in bikinis.
When you watch professional swimmers or even girls who are on the swim team at school, they'll wear a one piece bathing suit.
When you watch professional swimmers who are men, they wear the speedos, jammers or full body suits and it might be weird for boys to wear those in class. ]
Schools enlist dress codes the best they can. They probably figured it was safer to ban 2 pc for girls than to describe what is acceptable. Examples from my daughters who are now out of high-school. Their shorts or dresses could be no shorter than where their fingertips came on their thighs when standing. Straps on a summer top could be no less than 3 inches wide. Spaghetti string tops were out. No caps or hats of any kind as it could be gang related. I think that was it.
Also, if you think about it, when wet, a 2 pc can act differently and expand when water logged and not fit as snug so a bra top could easily slide over a breast, while a bottom slips down.
If you have ever watched the professionals competing in summer olympics swim events...its always one piece for that reason. ]
You have asked a very good question. For the most part you also answered you own question.
There are many different two-piece bathing suits. Some would be more acceptable than others. Just where would the school officials draw the line. When it comes to one piece bathing suits there is really not a lot of difference in styles. Most if not all would be found acceptable by your school. It is also easier for the school to describe the type of suit they want you to wear.
Is it fair that the boys are allowed to wear almost any type of bathing trunks they want and girls are restricted to somewhat unflattering one piece bathing suits. Probably not. Though many of the two-piece bathing suits a girl would choose are or would be very distracting.
Take heart in the fact that you are allowed to wear a bathing suit. Way back in the dark ages around the time of when your grandparents or maybe your great grandparents were in school. Classes were segregated by sex. Those schools that offered swimming did so in the nude since it was only same sex doing so at one time they saw no need for bathing suits. Many boys and girls found this very embarrassing. ]
