The generally accepted answer is NO, since STD stands fro Sexually transmitted Disease. No sex means no transmission. When it comes to cold sores they are in the same viral family as Herpes and can be transmitted by kissing is one partner has a cold sore. They can also be transferred during oral sex putting a cold sore in the category of an STD.
What is not true is that you can pick up an STD from a toilet seat. If you think you have an STD the best thing to do is be tested. Most STDS are quickly cured with medication.

In rare circumstances yes. A friend of mine got pubic lice from a public toilet seat when she was 12 or 13. There was medication involved and everything, it was really bad. It's very unlikely, though. I'm not sure why you're asking, but it's not a good excuse. What I mean is, if you actually did have sex and contract an STD, telling your parents that you got it off of a toilet seat probably isn't going to work. I'm not saying that this is your situation, but it is so rare to get an STD from a way other than having sex that people wouldn't really believe you.

No..STD means sexually transmitted disease and if you dont have sex they wont be transmitted...but there are some diseases which can be transmitted by sex as well as by other routes.. but these can happen to any othwr normal person which is as general as any other person and probability is the same for all person and vulnerability depends on other factors.. dont worry about them..
