Go high carb, low fat, whole foods, plant-based VEGAN! I went vegan this year and have lost 40 pounds, with minimal exercise, and eating AS MUCH as I desire bringing down my BMI from 30 to 24. I weigh less now than I did throughout high school, as an overweight teenager, even when I exercised for hours while on Junior Varsity and Varsity sports teams. I went to my annual physical earlier this month, and even my doctor was in shock.

My goal for next year is to lose 30-40 more pounds, I just need to start exercising on a regular basis. Nothing crazy, just 30-60 minutes of jogging, Ballet Beautiful, bike riding.. things like that.

I think it's amazing what I've accomplished so far, just by changing my diet, though. It's a lot easier to go vegan than it seems. I was never vegetarian, I went from being able to eat an entire box of pizza or entire tub of ice cream in one sitting to a full-fledged vegan. I now spend a lot less money on groceries, have more energy (never need caffeine, and never feel lethargic like I used to on a regular basis), have more concentration, am learning to cook, and etc. Try it for a week, that's how I started, and I felt so good that I just kept going, and it's now been 5 months! You can get every nutrient from plant foods, including protein!

Where do you get your protein?! 10 comebacks from a Vegan.

The only vitamin you need to supplement is B12, and one I personally recommend is Garden of Life's B12 spray (cause I personally hate swallowing pills, and methylcobalamin is better than cyanocobalamin). You can buy it at any health foods store (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joe's, etc.), or online.

Anorexia is a mental state, I would say you have a definite possability of being anorexic.

Quick fixes never work. Loving yourself starts with accepting who you are. If you want to change, change your lifestyle, as a person who delt with body issues I can tell you this. Becoming well built or in shape or sexy, the hard way is the only way. Starving yourself will not help you. Becoming healthy is the only way. You need food to nurish your body.

If you want to loose weight eat healthy and exercise. Starving yourself is NOT the way to loose weight because you have to go back to eating someday and at that point you will gain a lot of weight, because your body will go into starvation mode and store all the fat from when you start eating again.

The smart, and more effective way is to just exercise even as little as 30 minutes a day will work. and eat healthy, cut down on soda, and chips, fast food, etc. because all that stuff is a big cause in weight gain.

I can assure you though, that no matter your size you are probably beautiful just the way you are. don't be comparing yourself to others and causing yourself to try and look "skinny" like all these other people that you're seeing online and on tv, and in magazines, because thats not what beautiful is. everyone is beautiful. remember that <3

I hope I helped, and good luck (:

First: You are not anorexic at least not in the true definition of the disease.

Second: Starvation diets are not the way to loose weight. Several things happen that can actually do you physical harm and you could find yourself in the hospital if you are successful in starving yourself.

One of the reasons you end up binging after a few days of starving is your bodies self preservation system. It is our self preservation system that anorexics learn to overcome and eventually they end up dieing because of it.

If you look at your body as an car. Your brain is the engine. Your heart is the fuel pump and the lungs are the carburetor. Your blood is the gas that everything works off of. Your body is going to do all that it can to preserve these functions. Food is the fuel that keeps the engine running.

When the body runs out of stored energy, fat which can be in this scenario the battery, the body starts to turn off those systems it does not need to keep the engine (brain) running. First the Kidneys, then the Liver, then the Lungs. The last thing the body turns of is the fuel pump, the heart, since there is no fuel left to pump.

Even though you may think you are fat your body is saying different. What you are saying or seeing as fat your body is not able to use or make into energy to keep things running. So it triggers your self preservation alarm and you binge. Any weight you may have lost is regained.

Now if you are trying to look like the models in the magazine or Victoria Secrets forget it. Most of them are so sick they need drugs to get through a shoot and the pictures are air brushed to get them perfect.

What I suggest is you go to the doctor and find out what you ideal weight is. If you are over weight ask the doctor to help you lose weight with a proper diet plan. A proper diet plan includes three meals a day and two snack plus the right exercise.

Please don't try that! I actually starve myself I won't eat for days at a time then I'll eat everything I can get my hands on, so I end up puking it up. It's no fun, I wouldn't advise anyone doing that to try and make themselves look skiny! You're perfect the way you are!!!

this is not the place to ask a question like this and you should NEVER ask a question like this. you need to find some help. Starving your body causes it to feed on its own muscles and makes your body extremely weak and is so detrimental to your health. You're basically asking us how you can kill yourself slowly. Please go see a doctor or a family member or someone who can help you.
P.S. that's low to give my answer a low rating just because you don't want to hear the truth. You shouldn't be harming yourself and that's a fact. Anyone who tells you anything otherwise is an enabler and should be ashamed to help you hurt yourself and the people around you who care about you. I hope you get the help you so desperately need.
