why does my boyfriend of 1 and half years always calls me,''dear''? he just rarely calls me my name probably because he's older than me. he's 45 and i'm 31. or is it just a terms of endearment? thank you guys.

It could just mean that he's really into you. Don't let it bother you, just go with it, and give him a cute nickname. Good luck! [ kayliegirl125's advice column | Ask kayliegirl125 A Question ]

When you are in a committed adult relationship, you usually only hear your actual name when the other person is mad at you.
This is normal, and it happens with pretty much everyone.
I don't usually answer things like this, but when I noticed someone insinuate that it could possibly mean he is cheating on you, I didn't know if I should laugh or cry that someone would try and plant such an awful thought in your head... so I figured I had better answer.
lovealways1221 answered Monday July 25 2011, 3:17 pm: there's 2 points of views on this.. he could just be really sweet and trying to flatter you. My boyfriend calls me cute names too like baby and honey.
But there's also a point of view that he could just be calling you these names because he might be seeing other women, and doesn't want the names to get mixed up. so its easier for him to call all the women "dear" or some other cute name.
I dont know this guy, but considering there's a huge age difference, and he's 45 and not married.. then it could be possible he's seeing other women. But i could definitely be wrong, considering I don't know him. Keep youre eyes and ears open just in case though! But it could just be nothing and that he's just a sweet boyfriend who likes to call his girlfriend "dear" :) [ lovealways1221's advice column | Ask lovealways1221 A Question ]
