However, it won't be the healthiest way of losing weight. 145 pounds sounds about right for your height but if you are anything like me I know you won't be satisfied at that weight. If you want to do an extreme weight loss the best thing to do is eat a lot less but be sure to drink a ton of water. How much water depends on if you are out in the heat, how much you work out and how little you eat. You definately don't want to get dehydrated and also you will get constipated when you decrease your food intake so water is imparative. Now the other thing is working out. However, be careful how you workout. Certain routines cause you to gain muscle and ultimately you gain weight. Don't get me wrong it's good to increase your muscle because muscle also helps in the loss of weight. But you may think your workouts are not working well just based on the numbers on the scale. So keep that in mind as you workout. Egg whites, salad, green tea, olive oil, grape fruit, hot red peppers, high fiber cereals and cinnamon, are all foods that I found to lose weight. After having three children I lost 60 pounds in less than a year, actually less than 8 months and I didn't even workout. All I did was implament the food into my diet and majorly decrease my food intake and increase my water intake. ANother key factor is cutting out ALL sugary drinks especially alcohol. But soda pop makes a huge difference- you'd be surprise. Good luck with your weight loss and please be careful and don't go over board. It can be done and you can do it! Proper dieting says a person should loose no more than 1 to 3 pounds a week. If we use the extreme of 3 pounds a week, we are in the window of the 20 pounds you are looking to loose.
Before starting any diet a visit to your doctor is in order. Let your doctor advise you on a proper diet technique and what a good weight for your height and skeletal frame should be.
Based on this information and with a schedule of visits for supervision your next stop is with a nutritionist. Many heath food or vitamin stores have nutritionists on staff. The nutritionist can help you with meal plans and set up a proper diet plan as well as offer advice on any vitamin supplements you might need.
Your last stop would be to your gym if you use one. Schedule a visit with the gyms personal trainer to set up a proper workout schedule and routine.
With the plan I have set out you may or may not hit your goal by August 25th. What is more likely is whatever weight you do loose will say off where as with quick loss diets the weight comes back as quickly as you loose it. They key to success in this plan is doing thing properly and supervision by your doctor. [ adviceman49's advice column | Ask adviceman49 A Question ]
