Yep defo bowling, and maybe followed by chilling with a drink.

I'm actually good at telling people where not to go.
Not the movies, because a)you guys can't talk b) they'll be other couples in there on like their 100th date, and you may feel uncomfortable and nervous

Not the park a)just because the park is a perfect setting for a private first kiss (not assuming anything here)

Not shopping a)okay, i did this once, and guys unsuprisingly don't like being dragged around ^^ my bad.

Good luck :)

First things first; what can you afford? How much do you know about your crush such, as likes and dislikes?

Bowling is a good first date. It is something most people can do, you can have fun doing it even if your not good at it and it is inexpensive. So is going to a fun park and playing miniature golf.

These are also things that your crush may not have done on other first dates and could find them not only exciting but different in away that makes you look outstanding. All of these places also offer inexpensive snacks as well.

I agree that movies are not the best places to go on a first date. Not only for the reasons mentioned by others but you may choose a movie she is totally not interested in or one you are not interested in.

If there is an aquarium, museum or zoo open during your date these are also places you can have a good time. Scenic train rides are nice and depending on where you live there may be a scenic train ride near you operated by conservators of old trains, steam or old diesel locomotives. Check the web under local interest; you will be surprised at the list of things there are.

Dear "First Date Advice",

Alright! A very good question indeed.
With all the places to go and things to do nowadays it's hard to decided that perfect spot for the famous "first date" but it can be easy depending on the circumstances.

As cliche as it sounds the mall is always a fan favorite. Why? Because it's filled with people (which rules out awkward silences), there is a food court (hello, food!),and the countless stores that are filled with countless things that can bring up countless topics of discussion!

Now if your looking for something a little more one-on-one. I would suggest taking said date on a nice walk at your local park, followed with a dinner maybe?, ENDING with the movies.

Now, 89% of the time people choose the movies for a first date. I say "not such a good idea", why? because first off, your in a dark room where you can't even really see your date! I mean, she didn't wear that shade of lip-gloss or he didn't comb his hair that suave way to be sitting in the dark! Second, it's a movie. . . and your kind of not suppose to talk during. The majority of people including your date would get rather annoyed if you do. SO save the movies for last!

Any who, book stores, ice-cream joints, skating rinks, all of these places are great for a first date as well. Hopefully this helped!

Have fun,

Braylen

The first date should be at a place where you two have the opportunity to get to know one another, This is where I would skip the movie idea.

Dinner, (Pick a casual dining) Plan a day at the beach, Mall, You could even stay in do dinner and a movie. A movie at home is a more suitable place rather than the theater it gives the opportunity to talk during the movie. Be creative, If you both like the outdoors you could plan a picnic at the park, Sometimes local college offer day passes to the public for pool use. If you hate the heat and don't like the beach this is also another possible idea you could do too. Look up local events in your town/city to see if there are any cool events going on.
