He wants attention from you when he flirts with other girls, in this case he wants to make it seem as your desperate for him. You shouldn't even stare at him acting as if you don't care but deep down you do ! No don't be convinced by his looks , looks lie if he still liked you he would come after you yet has he done that? Mmm... if he don't chase you ... you should just let him go ! Im sure you deserve better;

In my opinion i think school relationships are hilarious i dont think you have any privacy at all, I think you should talk to him ask him whats what and why is he all of a sudden looking at you? And if he did care or like you he wouldn't flirt with other chicks its uncool. Take care !!

"oh and then other times hes all flirty with other girls:("
looking at the ":(" on the end , you still have feelings for this guy. if you to broke up, he does have the right to flirt, even though it may hurt you.

him smiling at you is a sign that he's happy to be friends or maybe he still has feelings for you. Instead of saying "what?" have a conversation with him, just cause your not together doesn't mean you can't be friends! and in most cases this will make you to a lot closer.

Sound's like he's a flirt and like you should change your seat and pay attention in class.

well maybe he's smiling at you because he's trying to say that he wants to be friends, it's not always a bad thing so you should speak to him casually it'll make it less awkward and will ease the tension and he's just flirty with other girls because he no longer has a girlfriend or maybe he's trying to annoy you, either way show him it doesn't bother you and be cool with him

First of all sitting next to an ex is always hard, but nontheless its livable. Then the fact that he keeps turning around and looking at you seems like he like to mess with you. Also the fact that he's single gives him a reason to flirt with other girls...now it doesn't mean that he's doing it to bother you or maybe he is...well if he is then the only reason he would be doing that to show you he can do it nothing big but all you have to do is ignore him and don't give him the time of day. Soon enough he'll get tired of it and move on. Hope I helped a little with this issue.=)
