im not saying im scuicidal but just wondering what other people think on it. Do you guys see it as a person going thru so much that decided to end his misery. Or do you see it as some shallow uncaring jerk that decided to end it. I dont know i just kind of want peoples opinions on the subject whatever it may be.
The first time my Mother tried it, I was too young to understand so I didn't really react to it. The second and third times were different. Once the initial feelings of upset and fear had subsided and I knew she was going to be okay, I found myself really, really angry with her. I was furious that she could be so selfish as to do that to me, my sister, my Dad, her parents. Suicide doesn't just affect the person who is depressed, it affects everyone around them. It was incredibly traumatic and upsetting for all of us. Later I realised that she wasn't doing it out of selfishness but because she was very unwell. That doesn't mean I wouldn't react in the same way if she tried it again but it's very difficult to be understanding if you haven't been in that position yourself. They see suicide as an option of last resort feeling that nothing else has worked or will work. They are in fact out of their mind with fear and desperation.
Anyone considering suicide as the only answer is deeply depressed. Depression clouds ones thinking, their ability to focus clearly and how they perceive things. One could say that you perceive it therefore it is. For someone not suffering from deep depression this is probably a true statement. For someone suffering from deep depression they are not perceiving things as they are. You could put this in terms of if something is blue they are seeing red.
No one wakes up one morning and says "I'm going to kill myself". They travel a long road to get to this point. There are tell tale signs to look for if you know the person well enough.

I'm sure that most people thinking about suicide really never want to hurt everyone else but at the time all they care about is getting out of the problems they have.
So I see it as someone who is pretty much blinded from everything else and see only what's going on in their life. [ lightoftruth923's advice column | Ask lightoftruth923 A Question ]

At least that's where I was a while ago. I also see it as an avoidable action. If every suicidal person would take a few hours to talk to people about it, most could be prevented. There's always another way out.
It's like a mouse in a glue trap chewing off its foot. It's an act of desperation with harmful consequences. The average suicidal person is just unable to really fathom the consequences because their mind is fogged.

Unsolved depression can only get worse. If its not treated. I had post partum depression and post dramtic stress depression. I still have post dramtic stress little things trigger it but im being able to handle it a little better Post Dramtic Stress is b ecause of something in your past. Post partum if after babies. My sons i never treated but when i had my daughter i was on anti depressants and im 100% better. [ Sweet_LiL_Angel's advice column | Ask Sweet_LiL_Angel A Question ]
