Don't waste your time doing situps or crunches most women just want a flat stomach not ripped abs. If you cut back on your calories and stay on a workout routine long enough it will happen. Also remember to more you have to lose the quicker the results seem to appear.
Depending on your height weight and how active you are you may only be able to eat 1000-1500 daily to lose weight.

Portion control and eating your fruits, veg, pulses, lean meats and foods full of fibre to keep you feeling fuller for longer. Eating little and often can also help if youre trying to change unhealthy eating patterns.
Cardio burns fat. If you're consistent then you'll see results. Set realistic goals for yourself.
Find exercise you're really into such as swimming which works the whole of your body, going for runs, exercise classes aswell as generally keeping active and getting out of the house. You could even ask a friend to be your work out buddy and motivate eachother.
There's nothing worse than doing an exercise that you dont enjoy, you'll just lose the motivation. [ WingYan's advice column | Ask WingYan A Question ]
corbettd1 answered Monday January 17 2011, 12:50 pm: It's a common myth that you can do certain exercises to lose fat in certain body places. This is not entirely true. You can do exercises to build muscle in those areas and tone it a bit, but the body distributes body fat in it's own pattern depending on your body fat percentage.
So, the idea of doing certain different exercises to make those areas appear more toned is a decent idea, however, the real key is to change the ratio of muscle-to-fat. A small cardio routine alternated with weight training can make this more effective. Alternate days of doing isometric exercises like lunges and sit-ups with days of walking/running a mile or two. Just build from there. Remember that it's what you put into it that you get out of it. Don't just quit when you begin to sweat or get tired, push yourself a little farther and you'll get good results. Also, good diet. You don't have to change too much, but if you drink regular soda, try switching to diet soda or even better water. Not strictly to lose weight, but because water is so good for you.
