How Much Do You Bleed?

Question Posted Tuesday December 28 2010, 7:36 pm

So my friends and I are Curious, but to scared/embarrassed to ask our moms. How much do you bleed after your "cherry" has been popped? Is it like your period?

Depends on how your period is. If it is stretch enough (if you use tampons...) it is unlikely that it will even break. BUT if it happens to, you can't tell how much a hymen will bleed. Usually it isn't as heavy as a period, only a few dots and splatters here and there. Nothing to worry about. :)

It really depends. If you use tampons, then you're unlikely to bleed much if at all because your hymen is probably already broken. If you do bleed, it won't be a huge amount - alot less than your period. If you bear in mind the fact that on average, your period is only around a teaspoon of blood anyway, you realise it's not alot at all.

Honestly, I barely bled at all. It was way less than my period, but it's different for every girl.

it depends on the girl. some girls bleed a lot (but not as much as getting your period) and some don't really bleed at all. most girls don't bleed right away, they bleed the next day or something. and some girls bleed for a few days after. sometimes it takes multiple times to completely pop a girl's "cherry" and you might bleed a few times after having sex

Well, it isn't the same for every girl. I didn't bleed at all. It just depends on how you are built and whether or not your hymen is torn, because that's what causes the bleeding. It isn't too big of a deal anyways, guys expect it to happen if they know you're a virgin, so they're not likely to make a big deal out of it. Best of luck, Jess.

It isn't like your period, there is much less blood. I wouldn't say that it hurts, it is more of a discomfort than anything, but it only feels like that for a little while. Don't be scared to ask your mom, that is what she is supposed to talk about.
