How do I break up with my girlfriend?
My girlfriend and I have been dating for 8 months. She's a nice girl but I don't have those feelings of love for her. I've been trying to wait it out, thinking that I'd start to feel the magic sometime, but it ain't happening. She's really into me and I'm just not into her. She's nice and all but that's about it. How can I dump my girlfriend without hurting her? I know I need to let my girlfriend down easy but how?

Be truthful. Thats all girls want. Not that "its not you, it's me". We're not dumb! We want the bloody truth. Just sit her down, tell her that you just dont feel that kind of magic anymore.
She might not take it well, but its better then stringing her along.

Perhaps not using the word "dump," even to yourself, would help. You are not dumping her; you are making a realistic assessment of the relationship so you can both move on to better things. There is no way to do this without hurting her, but it's better to do it now than to continue in a situation you know you can't sustain. Be straightforward; don't make excuses, and tell her you want her to be free to find the right relationship. Make sure she knows you are concerned about her happiness as well as your own.

Breaking up with her is going to hurt regardless of what you do or say.. Just tell her how your truly feel about her don't sugar coat it because if she some how finds out in the end its just gonna hurt more.

If she's really into you then there's no way you'll be able to do it without hurting her. Don't drag it on- get right to the point, and just be completely honest with her. Obviously she probably isn't going to take it that well at first but eventually she'll be happy that you were honest.

there is no way you can get out of this without hurting this girl. and its not your fault. be honest with her stop wasting your time and stop wasting her time you could be dating someone that you feel magic with and she could be dating some one who is truly into her. I don't know why guys do this they string a girl along cause they don't want to hurt her. you will hurt her no matter what because she really likes you. So to lose you woul be awful for her. but she will get over it just like we all do. Atleast your not one of those idiots that lie and cheat. be a man about.

If I guy wanted to break up with me Id want him to say something like this....its been a great couple of months and i like you but i think i like you more as a friend im not trying to hurt you but i dont want to lead you on either so can we still be friends?
