i was really looking into doing the maple syrup diet since you loose 20 pounds in ten days! but i think its a little extreme for me and i dont have the right enviornment for it.
since the detox is kind of starvation i was wondering if i could potentionaly loose ten pounds quickly by doing a starvation diet.
id idealy like to simple eat coffee, fat free frozen yogurt, and chicken for a week. just that. maybe an apple or some fruit but nothing more.
would i be able to loose a lot of weight by reducing my calorie intake that much? or will i simply go into starvation mode and my body will gain weight...
i really am not educated enough in this department to know if this will work.
YES I AM AWARE THAT STARVATION IS EXTREMLY HARMFULL but i simply want to loose ten pounds thats it. i do not want to get an eating disorder or anything like that! i LOVE food. that is why i need to loose the weight!
so, can i go on a starvation diet and succesfuly loose ten pounds?
if not how could i? i need to loose ten pounds in 2 weeks or less!
Currently, I'm doing a diet somewhat along the lines of what people would call a starvation diet. I recently lost 4 lbs in 4 days by eating about 500 cals a day and exercising moderately. However, I do weigh well over 200 lbs, so my caloric requirements are much higher than someone who weighs 140-180 or so.
You need to be very careful when undertaking a diet plan like this. Chicken, coffee and frozen yogourt aren't exactly going to carry you through. I'd say skip the froyo because it's full of sugar. Make sure you eat tons of veggies (I only stick to 500 a day because I eat salads all the time) and some fruit, too. You can always get some sugar-free, fat-free yogourt to help with sweetness cravings, or frozen berries work wonders too. Make sure you're getting enough nutrients, vitamins and minerals. I take a multivitamin daily. You should also drink tons of water, because you may be retaining liquid. I've lost as much as 3-4 lbs in a day just by increasing my water intake and cutting out soda (even diet soda is bad).
The most important thing to remember is that you can't go back to eating the way you did before. There's a reason you gained weight; you need to make some major lifestyle changes to keep from gaining it all back at once. Ease back into eating more; just 100 cals more per day until you get to your regular amount. Keep counting your calories and make sure that you're not going over. Muscle is essential to burning fat, so I would suggest you concentrate on preserving the muscle that you have while cutting down on calories.
The great thing about protein is it is proven to make you feel full for longer amounts of time than other foods. At every meal have eggs, chicken, or milk...etc. Also try weight lifting to strengthen your muscles. Good luck! [ LiSaxOBaBii's advice column | Ask LiSaxOBaBii A Question ]

Unfortunately, there's no quick fix to losing weight. If there were, EVERYONE would do it! [ dearcandore's advice column | Ask dearcandore A Question ]

But as soon as you start eating normally again, it'll all pile back on plus some extra because your body will be grabbing everything it can get.
