What if my discharge is brown?
HI...
Im only a 11 year old girl , and i have'nt gotten my first period yet. I have been getting brown discharge...its not blood i could tell,its like gewwy and brown. I get scared cuz people on websites say that i have an effection, but maybe im different because i have'nt gotten my first period yet.( I have told my mom but she siad that its my period)may you please Help me cuz i bet you know alot more about this kind of stuff than i do.

woo congrats you got your period haha. the first couple of times its brownish but it'll turn normal soon.

when i was your age lol i got my period. the first two times my period was brwony. after that it was kinda of normal blood like. so it is your period but it needs time for a couple of cycles to get to real blood.

It's hard for me to say because I don't know what it looks like but sometimes period blood can look brown. I recommend looking at this site. kidshealth.org/teen/sexual_health/ It can answer any questions you have about vaginal health and puberty. If all else fails I would see a dr. Good luck!
