do guys just like to hook up or do they actually like the girls
so I have thus really good friend and we talk a lot and he always brings up the one time we kissed, but it was nothing, and he always talks about how he wants to hook up with me and he always ask me if I want to hook up with him, and a couple days ago we were talking about how far we would ever go with each other..so do most guys just want to hook up or do they really like the girl?

It really depends on the guy, now in my experience the ones who just want to hook up with you are the ones who try way too hard and talk about it ALL the time, and it is really hard to find a really good guy although it is possible. You have to realize that they are 16 year old boys, their hormones are raging, and it is pretty much proven that they always think about sex haha, the good ones are the ones who at least try and pretend that they aren't pigs.
Not all men are pigs though, there are some good ones out there, but they are few and far between. It sounds like this guy is just looking to hook up with you, don't ever hook up with a guy because they pressure you. It needs to be your choice and because you want to do it. You'll figure out soon enough how to determine who wants in your pants and who actually wants a part in your life :)

Well, the guy you're talking about JUST wants to hook up with you.
Yes, men are more prone than women to short-term commitment (seduce, show signs of loyalty & etc., then leave) when it comes to sex / relationships. This could be an evolutionary thing dating back to our caveman days; an organism's main goal = reproducing to continue the species. Males can reproduce once a day if they feel like it; all it takes is sex...and then they can take off and find the next female to impregnate. Females, however, are limited to about once a year; once pregnant, she has to wait 9 months to give birth before she can be pregnant again. They can't leave; they have to tend to the babies.
So, yeah. This could be an evolutionary trait that men have had since the dawn of time (except now their motivation has changed from ensuring the survival of the species to getting laid).
Or maybe guys are just horny.
Either way, although there's always a good handful of guys that 'just like to hook up', there ARE guys out there that DO want a real relationship.

What if it doesn't work out.. then your friendship is screwd.. it'll never be the same again.
