To be alive is a gift, because it is better than to be murdered or dead. And the world is said to be cruel because of the people living here, and the hard choices in life we must make. Nonetheless, there are days where you are simply happy - that is the gift. Remember, too much good is bad. And if it's always good, you'll take it for granted. You have to endure the bad times, so even a moment of good will make it worth the hurt and will put a smile on that face.

Not everything is cruel. Instead of reflecting on the negatives look at the positives in your life. Its hard at times I realize because in the media they show the negative things and it seems that these days theres no good news. Some of the world is cruel but why not do something that makes a little difference in the world. Ghandi once said: "Be the change you want to see in the world".

the world's not cruel, just the people in it. life is a gift and only you can decide what to make of that gift.

Life is a gift because there is so much you cannot do when your dead. It never ceases to amaze me how amazing amputees are. They can defeat any diversity life throws at them. They are talented as athletes and Artist and generally all are glad to be alive. Helen Keller whom became ill as a baby & was left deaf & blind went on to become a scollar in litrature. she is quoted as saying "When one door closes another one opens" it really is up to each and everyone of us to path the life we were ment to live the life we dream of living, lead the life that makes you happy. Are you in a cruel place? and what can you do to make a difference? Use the gift of life to do something about it.

When people say the world is cruel, they usually don't mean all the time. Instead they mean that life can be cruel and can throw difficult situations your way. It is a gift to be alive because if you make it through the struggle you are usually a better person for it.
