why do i look fat?

***BEFORE ANYONE COMMENTS SAYING HOW UNHEALTHY AND HOW I HAVE A DISORDER, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT I KNOW THIS AND THAT EATING DISORDERS AND BEING HEALTHY IS NOT WHAT MY QUESTION IS ABOUT SO IF YOU ARE GOING TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THAT PLEASE DONT!!


i dont eat all week (besides coffe with half and half) and then weekends i binge like crazy and take laxatives.

this weekend i did that except i took the laxatives to late and i think i fully digested everything i ate (which was ALOT)

this week i have not eaten yet (besides coffe and some vegetables) i just tried on a dress that i am wearing tomorrow and my stomach looks huge and wide and its really not flattering. why does my stomach look huge? how do i fix it? i hate it and it makes me eat less.

If you only eat on the weekends, your body goes in to "starvation mode" and saves all its fat and nutrients to keep you alive. It is much healthier to eat 6 small meals a day than just eating on the weekends.

The reason you look "fat" is because of your eating habits messing up your metabolism. In order to lose the belly fat, you need to eat healthier and exercise.

your stomach looks huge because eating less DESTROYS your metabolism. it slows it like crazy; your body is aware that you are eating a little bit so it saves as much energy as possible when you DO eat, beause it knows it won't be getting more energy anytime soon.

as a result, when you start binge eating, it throws your body off. it's still in the "conserving" mode it was in all week because it CAN'T adjust that quickly. as a result, it still stores as much energy as possible rather than burning it. this makes you gain more weight, makes your stomach look huge, etc.

the only way to prevent this is to get a FAST metabolism. meaning eat more often - (but small, healthy meals! no junk food! you should eat a medium-sized meal about 5 times a day, not a BIG breakfast lunch & dinner like most americans do)
if you eat more often, your body will burn food quicker because it'll see no need for having to save the energy - it'll be getting more energy sooner because you're going to eat more soon.

now this piece of advice is extremely hypocritical because I am the laziest human being alive, but if you REALLY want to lose weight, you should start exercising. this will speed up your metabolism, as well and it will help burn the fat! this is better than not eating because you'll look skinny AND healthy. anorexic celebrities, bulimic celebrities, etc. that you see in newspapers just look plain SCARY - their ribs are showing, their bones are showing, they look frail, pale, and plain unhealthy. however, celebrities with personal trainers and good diets are not only thin but they look great! I've also spoken to a lot of guys about this (since girls tend to eat less to feel more attractive) and they believe TOO skinny is unattractive.

Sorry if i came off as criticizing your eating habits but changing them really is the only way to look better without always having that constant hungry feeling from not eating. Instead of eating less, you should focus on eating more and exercising more. exercising (i've heard jogging is great) is good because it builds up muscle and kills fat at the same time, so you appear much more healthier AND skinnier.

The reason your stomach is looking larger is because when you starve yourself as you are doing your metabolism drops severely, meaning every chance at fat you get it will store it instead of burning it. It also means that you are losing weight from your muscle but gaining weight from fat. By over indulging on the weekend it made your body store all of the fat gained from the food and burned none of it because it is in "survival" mode.

To "fix" it, you would have to change your dietary habits. Depending on how long you've been keeping this regimen up, your metabolism is probably extremely slow. Working out is another way to relieve the situation.

Ok, you don't need to starve yourself because of what people think right now. In 20 years, are you gonna give a shit on how you looked now? Will people remember you as "the girl with the dress" or "the girl with the hair." NO!!! They will remember you as how you treated them. I'm sure I would fall in love if I saw you (take no offense by it). Nobody cares if you have a tiny "bulge." If you're THAT insecure, wear a loose jacket. :/ That's all I can tell ya. But hey, I have no room to judge ANYBODY :D I hate my body too.
