MommaCrow answered Saturday October 3 2009, 2:36 pm: Well, once you've made up your mind that this is the path you want to follow, it isn't so easy to just do. For you it may be but there is sometimes a confidence that has to be gained first.
I would buy an outfit or two...think easy to take off...and a pair of stripper shoes and practice dancing and walking first. Make sure you look good, get your hair done, nails,go tanning, etc. Also, try to pick out your style of music. Then research the clubs in your area. In New Jersey, there are bikini bars, topless bars, and full nude places. You have to decide which type of place you would be most comfortable with.
After you've done that you just call the club and see how to audition. Remember that this is a job that requires confidence since you will be on stage and people are extremely judgemental. Be prepared to deal with a lot of negativity.
Make sure you seriously want to get into this line work. This could really effect the rest of your life. [ MommaCrow's advice column | Ask MommaCrow A Question ]
cloudy_conscience answered Tuesday September 29 2009, 1:57 pm: First start out asking yourself, "Is this really what I want to do?" You would be taking your clothes of for strangers for money. They will be looking at you like a piece of meat, if you can handle that then go down to a local strip club and tell them that you want a job. Most likely if you are attractive and can dance a little, you'll get it.

Daintree answered Monday September 28 2009, 4:13 am: How much self respect do you have? I Personally would rather wash dishes.
Well I say this because I did start out washing dishes at 16 and by the age of 28 I started and still own my own business with my husband & I never took my cloths off for money once to get there. It's not impossible it just starts with a clever idea and a clear conscience. [ Daintree's advice column | Ask Daintree A Question ]
