My boyfriend and I usually do something special on our 'anniversary' dates. We'll go out to dinner somewhere nicer than where we'd usually go. This is gonna sound like, cheap, and stuff... but for awhile, we've been going to places like Taco Bell, KFC, etc, because I'd never eaten at most fast food places. So we'd go somewhere like, the Cheesecake Factory instead- we ARE still on a budget ;].

I've noticed that as people date for a really long time this tends to go by the wayside. Sometimes we'll barely acknowledge that it's the first of the month... we'll mention it and that's the end of it :] We have a pretty steady relationship, so another month isn't as major as it used to be.

It's really up to you, sweetie. My last relationship started on the first of a November in '07, and we celebrated every month's anniversary. We ended up lasting a little over a year, but that's besides the point. Here's the thing: You don't necessarily have to have a different idea every time you celebrate an anniversary. Sometimes, just spending time together is more than enough celebration...No matter what it is you're doing! Here's something else to think about; The word "anniversary" means something different to everyone. For example, it is more common for people who are just beginning to date to celebrate their 2-and-a-half week anniversary, than people that have had more experience with relationships. People who are married might say an "anniversary" is the celebration of the DAY that they'd wed, while teenage kids, like me, might celebrate in months or years, and so on. The point is, how you look at it is up to you. Think of it as your own way of measuring time (:

Everyone does a different thing.

Me and my boyfriend have been together for a year, and used to celebrate every month. Now we only celebrate every 3 months. We still acknowledge our monthly anniversaries, we just don't do much about it.

You don't always go out on dates when celebrating an anniversary. There's a lot of different things you can do. Sometimes me and my boyfriend go bowling, or to dinner & a movie. For our one year anniversary, we went to Vegas.

Like I said, everyone does a different thing so there's not really much to get sick of.

All couples are different. Some celebrate every month and some every year. Some just do it randomly to be with their significant other and show their love. People like different things. Some people don't even celebrate their anniversaries.
