more movies like The Notebook

Question Posted Tuesday July 21 2009, 6:00 am

So obviously The Notebook is one of the greatest movies ever made (and book). I've seen it enough times to know every line and I it never fails to make me cry just a little.

Any other amazingly good romances like this one? I don't really like old movies though.

Well i'm not sure if this is romance, but if i'm not mistaken the movie The 5 People You Meet In Heaven ; is a really good movie. I'm surprised no one said Titanic? But i'm sure you've seen that one XD

Some more things romance are :

10 Things I Hate About You

Corpse Bride(Tim Burtin film, but romance nontheless!)

Just Like Heaven

The Wedding Planner

Loser (My all-time favorite one! XD)

50 First Dates

When Harry Met Sally (but thats an old one, sorry :P,maybe you'll like it?)

Never Been Kissed

Can't Hardly Wait

WristCutters (Independent Film, really interesting and cute,to me)

others are really old,i'm talking '60s ! so we won't go there :P. But, some are really cute! Haha maybe you could check those out too :)

hope i helped,

A Walk to Remember (also a book by Nicholas Sparks). Other than that:

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, 13 Going on 30, The Wedding Singer, Moulin Rouge, Never Been Kissed, Music and Lyrics.

I would recommend Big Fish, if you're into Tim Burton movies. It's a story about a son trying to learn more about his dying father by reliving stories and myths his father told him about himself.

It's very sad, yet it's also funny, and it has lots of meaning.

There's a small love story entwined in the plot, too. That part is sad as well, if I remember correct.

It's a very, very good movie, though, and I highly recommend it.

EDIT: I also recommend Paris, je t'aime. More info here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

It's basically a compilation of love stories told in different perspectives by 18 different famous directors from around the world.

It's funny, sad, and adventurous, and I highly recommend it.
