Cant get MacBook online

Hey so i just bought a new macbook a few days ago and i cannot get it online. My wireless network is password protected and the passowrd i use to get the pc's online does not work on the mac.. I use the paceword on my pc very often and i never have a problem with it. What can i do to get it on our internet???

does it have a wireless connetion on/off button? if so switch it around. maybe your router doesnt support mac computers and needs to be updated. i know when i went from XP to vista i had that problem.
