xsummer0fstarsx answered Wednesday June 10 2009, 10:50 pm: It doesn't hurt when you get the braces tightened (at least it didn't hurt for me) but you do feel pressure afterwards and that does hurt. (Once again, it hurt for m) I would suggest taking tylenol before you go get your braces tightened and then when you can take more, I would take more tylenol. But I would take some before definitely, it really helped for me.
