It can be possible, because like the previous columnist said, your hymen breaks when you lose your virginity. It's a flab of skin that's near the vaginal opening. It bleeds when broken. And in some instances, it can break when you're riding a horse, using a tampon, or playing a sports activity.
So really it's possible but a broken hymen can mean so many things, not just being sexually active. ]
in side of a girl there is this little piece of skin that breaks when you have sex and sometimes you bleed which is why they call it popping a girls cherry. but the skin can break for many other reasons, you could have put a tampon up to far for your period so just because the skin is tore doesnt mean youre not a virgin.
*hope i helped! ]
What those people were referring to is that the doctor may seem that you're hymen has been broken or punctured, which is what people refer to as the "cherry" that's being popped, by the way. However, there are various ways to break your hymen, therefore, that is why the doctor will ask you if you sexually active and until you say, "Yes..." the doctor will not know.
By the way, if you are going to go to a "female" doctor, as I like to call it, if you are sexually active, it is probably a good idea to tell them. They cannot tell your parents and will not because of privacy and the doctor can treat you and make sure everything is in good shape. Just a suggestion, my friend. ]
its really simple by giving you a simple physical (inside and out) they can recognize the tear in the hymen and thats how they know if your a virgin or not. ]
They can tell if your hymen is broken, but it could have broken for other reasons besides sex, so unless you tell them, they won't know for sure. ]
They cannot tell for sure, unless you have sex regularly, or the week right before you visit the doctor. However, they can tell whether your hymen still intact or not.
Here's the break down in different situation:
--If you have never had sex before and your hymen is still intact, then yes, they can tell that you have NEVER had sex before.
--If you have had sex a few time before, but are not having it now, then the answer is no, they can't tell. Reasons being that the hymen can easily be torn (e.g. horse-back riding, bike riding, a fall, tampon use, etc., some women doesn't even have a hymen since birth to begin with). Oh, and just for your information (F.Y.I), the hymen can be restore =)
--If you had sex last night, last week, or maybe even the last two weeks, then they may be able to detect sperm if they look at the "vaginal secretions."
--If you have sex regularly, then they can tell by looking at your vaginal walls.
That answered your second question, too, didn't it? The doctor look at your vaginal walls and your vaginal secretions to tell whether you have had sex or not. The hymen is not that good of an indication of whether a girl have had sex or not. ]
they cant tell you either tell them or they ask you sometimes they can tell by trying to fix any medical problems you might have also im thinking they can tell by looking at a girl. ]
