Hello, logos, ethos and pathos come into play when speaking about literary work or even a debate.
logos: this is the logic, facutal information and evidence(things that can be proven)

ethos:these are things invloved with morality and ethical issues. When it coems to the suthor or liereary work,it is the history or background informtion on the writer and or writting.

pathos: This is the emotional part, statemnets hat involve how you feel and change the way you think abput something due its emotional effect.
I hope this helped and was useful for you :)

Simply put, you know that these are:
ethos - appeal to credibility of speaker
pathos - appeal to emotions of audience

Logos is like another device in the art of rhetoric but it deals with appealing to the audience's logic/reason.

I found a website that explains logos as well as giving examples. You need to scroll down a little. But I think this may help you.

Where it says:
Rhetoric, Logos, Pathos, and Ethos
THE THREE "ARTISTIC PROOFS." I think may be helpful.
