i just started tanning for prom and i have my period but i don't use tampons and i was wondering if i could do in a tanning bed with a pad? i don't want it to catch fire i have such a fear with that ever since i saw this movie. so can i go in there with a pad?

To put your mind at ease, your pad will not catch on fire. It might get a little heated, but that's it. If your period isn't that heavy, maybe you could try to wipe real well before you go in the tanning bed and not use a pad. Was it that final destination movie you saw? lol It's all highly exaggerated, so don't worry.

A tanning bed can't be hot enough to catch a sanitary napkin on fire or you would burn, too!
The only way that could happen is if you were being tanned with microwaves, and that would probably kill you before your pad could catch on fire.
That said, there was a fire in a tanning bed when a man was inside, but that was more than likely a faulty bed and it wasn't the man or anything he was wearing that caught fire.
You're more likely to get an infection from a previously used tanning bed than having your pad catch on fire, but, that's another story.
