co-worker has crush!

Question Posted Saturday March 21 2009, 12:24 am

I've been at my job for over 2 years and I know everyone very well. Recently, we got some new people and one of them is a real nice guy. Now, everyone tells me he likes me and he flirts with me alot. The thing is, he's cute and sweet but I'm not exactly sure if I like him or if I even want to get involved with a co-worker. How should I handle this? What should I say if he asks me out or asks me if I feel the same way? I'm not quite sure how I feel yet, it all came up quickly.

Be honest and upfront with him IF AND ONLY IF he asks! No harm in being honest. If he asks, hell just make it a group thing, invite other co-workers also. Most corporation have a dating policy where you cannot date other people in your career because it can effect the good for the company and your decision making when it comes to important matters. Just thank him for the nice gesture, that it has flattered you and hope that this doesn't change your relationship as co-workers.

First of all it is never good to date your co-worker, and your job may also have rules about it. Tell him you would date him, but you can't date other employees/staff.

It's never a good idea to date a co-worker.

If things go badly, it could ruin your career.

If you're not all that into this guy, you should put your job first -- it's more important.
