facebook home closing?

Question Posted Saturday March 21 2009, 12:05 am

whenever i try to go to the facebook 'home' page a little box pops up and says 'windows is checking for a solution to the problem' then closes and another box opens saying 'a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windowds will close the program and notify you if a solution is avaliable' and the only option i have to click is 'close program'

and it closes, anyone know whats wrong or how to fix it?
please & thanks would really help.
(already scanned for viruses and did a computer cleaning.. )

It's probably one of the plugins you have installed. Install IE7 if you haven't already:
[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
You know you already have IE7 if you have tabs.

That might fix it. If not, go to start, run (or press WinKey+R) and type this:
iexplore -extoff
That will run IE without plugins. If that fixes it, you know that a plugin is the problem. Go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Enable or disable add-ons. In the dropdown, select "add-ons that have been used by Internet explorer". Disable one add-on, restart IE, try Facebook; repeat until you find which one is causing the problem. Then leave that one disabled and enable everything else.

If that doesn't work, contact me.

its not a virus..try using firefox instead of windows explorer just google "firefox" and download it or try uninstalling windows and re installing it but might be easier to just download firefox
