I have to agree with the advice below mine. A nose piercing might look a lot better on one side of your face than the other. Experiment a little to see which side you think it would look better on.
When I got my anti-eyebrow piercing (kind of like a cheek piercing), I wanted it on my left side, but my piercer advised me to do it on the right because of the way my hair parted. [ Trauma's advice column | Ask Trauma A Question ]
kristamikele answered Wednesday February 25 2009, 7:09 pm: It used to be that the left ear was for straight men, and the right for homosexuals, but nobody really bothers with those kind of labels, anymore. When considering your own piercing, you would be surprised about how different things can look from one side of your face to the other. Try putting a little mark there and see which one you like, but you might want to go with the side opposite from the hand you use. This is because most people tend to sling their pocketbooks/backpacks on that side, or use that hand more frequently, which brings a higher chance of a snag. sillykissers answered Wednesday February 25 2009, 2:18 pm: There is no meaning. The only piercing that has meaning behind right or left is the ears. Typically, if a man has his right ear pierced (and not the left), they're gay. If they're both pierced, or just the left, it's supposed to represent being straight.
