First off, it's great that you're interested in becoming a vegetarian. I myself have been a vegetarian on and off for almost a year now (off because I'm dangerously close to becoming anemic and my doctor has advised me to eat meat in order to avoid this but that's a whole nother story itself...)

As far as telling your parents, I think just sitting down with them and telling them about your decision is your best bet. Hopefully, they'll be supportive of your decision and will help you choose vegetarian foods.

Here are a few really good websites I found as far as what to eat to make up for the lack of meat in your diet:

Anywho, PETA is an animal rights group (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals). Speaking of PETA, their website is amazing and has a lot of facts and awesome information:

Congrats again on your interest in vegetarianism! Let me know if you need anything else :)

As you probably already know, being a vegetarian is a huge commitment. Just tell your parents that you would like to make that commitment and why, and most likely they will not have a problem with it. Of course, not eating meat means missing out on important protiens and such. Milk and eggs can help, unless you chose to become a vegan, which means skipping out on all animal biproducts as well as meat. I would recomend taking some kind of protien booster vitamin or pill, found at most food and drug stores. Ask your cousin for more tips. Hope I helped<3

I'm a vegetarian. I tured one because every time
I looked at or put meat in my mouth I felt sick.

All I could think about was the animal.
Anyway, whatever your reason for being one is none
of my concern.

Just tell your parents you can't stand meat and
you want to become a vegetarian. Most likely
they'll respect that.

Most vegies give you all you need.
But there are iron, protein etc pills you can get
I'm pretty sure from your local supermarket. If
not you'll need to get them prescribed from the chemist.

Also, before you go vejo, you can see a doctor
just to make sure you're healthy enough to go
without meat.
