Question Posted Wednesday December 17 2008, 7:09 am

My period's late by like, a month.
Is there a way to make it come faster?
Because I'm getting really annoyed waiting around.

it may be possible that you are pregnant.
if not then your period is just being irregualar.
usually periods become normal between 1 to 2 years. i have had mine for a year and a half and its not 100% normal. There is no such thing as a normal period. i would just be patient with it.

If o have only bee getting your priod for arond 1 to 2 years now, it is quite normal for yur peiods to be irregular. However, if you are an adult, there could be cance you are pregnant, so you should definentaly get hat checked too.

If both of thesethings are imposible, then you should get it checked with yor doctor because there may be something wrong with your hormones.

If you take the birth control pill it will regulate your period. If your on any sort of drugs or your just stressed or pregnant, that will make your period come late. Well... if your pregnant, it won't come at all... Hope I helped.

Birth Control can help. I skip months all the time though ( i am not on birth control) Once last year i went four months with out my period. Then just randomly got it. Sometimes ill go 2 or 3 months with out it. Doctors can't figure out why they've ran tests and stuff .

Your period is a biological occurrence - there is no way to slow it down, speed it up, etc.

Going on birth control can help to regulate it, but there isn't anything you can do to make it come just because it's late. Maybe you just skipped it this month - that can happen sometimes.

Sorry, there's not really much you can do at the moment to force it. If this happens often, you might ask about getting on the pill. I don't know how old you are, but there are some health concerns about getting on the pill too early, but those are questions you need to ask your doctor. If you are in the first couple of years of having your period, irregular periods are normal; don't worry, more than likely your body will straighten itself out. If you have been on your period longer, or your period used to be regular and now it's not, definitely talk to your doctor about it. Good luck and much love!
