Question Posted Tuesday October 14 2008, 3:17 pm

14/f
I have been dating my boyfriend for about a week now. The only thing is that i have a moustache that is sorta dark and a lot of people notice it i'm sure. It's really embarrising because i don't want him to see it. I can't do anything about it. I'm not gonna wax, shave or bleach it. What do i do? I'm scared that he will be grossed out by it and break up with me. Help!

Well You guys have been dating a week already and I'm sure you've known each other before you started to date, which would mean he's probably noticed it already since you say that it's pretty noticeable. But since he's still dating you and still likes you apparently, You really shouldn't try to change it. He likes you the way you are now, Don't try to impress him or feel that you need to change the way you look just to be with him. Relationships are about loving the person the way you met them and loving them for the person they are now. Just keep in mind that he'll always like you, even if you did bleach or shave or wax (which btw is a pain after you do it the first time, It keeps growing back and it's just annoying). Hope I helped :)

there is an alternative to waxing called threading. Not all places that have waxing do it though. i personally haven't done it but i've heard it hurts less, and there is less irritation then waxing. google threading and watch some videos of how it's done.

Honestly honey, You might have to wax it. It might sting when you are in the process, but it is so worth it. You should not under any circumstance shave it. Waxing is the best solution. You will feel less self conscious.

If you are opposed to doing anything about it, then you will have to try and be a bit more secure with yourself. Hope that this helps :)

A lot more people have hair on their lip than you realize. However, since you've ruled out every option for removal [besides Nair, but that burns and smells] you can't really do anything about it.

Waxing is slightly painful but lasts a long time. Plus, the hair grows back less and less, and you won't feel self-conscious. Whatever you do, DO NOT shave it. Ever.

If he's dating you, he isn't grossed out by you. Keep that in mind =)
